‘With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi’
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in opposition to the Senate commission investigating the January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol:
"The January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol was a dark moment in our nation's history, and I fully support the ongoing law enforcement investigations into anyone involved. Everyone who attacked the Capitol must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and brought to justice. I also support the Senate committees of jurisdiction who are exercising their proper oversight roles to provide an in-depth and complete account of the attack. With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi."

So, Ted Cruz thinks anyone involved in the protesting a stolen election should be investigated.
Ted is feeling the heat.
The January 6th protest was not an “insurrection,” and the participants were not “terrorists.”
We know the Dems were behind it. They are the terrorists.

Ted is right. Some were terrorists. You had that antifa guy with the horns and his shorter sidekick. Most of the visible ones are confirmed antifa.
What the hell is wrong with Cruz? For every good thing he does, he manages to come up with some epically stupid and dishonest take which makes me question where his principles and heart are. The Jan 6 protests turned riot were not a “terrorist attack”. There are even Democrats who don’t buy that. And yet, here Cruz is, issuing a public statement which endorses the narrative of the Left.
“Terrorists” are those that attack civilians for political motives.
Those persons who assaulted the police are mere criminals.
