‘With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi’

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in opposition to the Senate commission investigating the January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol:

"The January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol was a dark moment in our nation's history, and I fully support the ongoing law enforcement investigations into anyone involved. Everyone who attacked the Capitol must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and brought to justice. I also support the Senate committees of jurisdiction who are exercising their proper oversight roles to provide an in-depth and complete account of the attack. With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi."

So Ted, when are you going to use your great power as a Senator to get information on Ray Epps???????

Ted, agreeing with Tucker that Ray Epps may be an FBI informant is not enough.

The GOP coverup of their involvement in coup against Trump in 2020 is still on the minds of the MAGA.

Ted Cruz is a duplicitous weasel driven by ambition to have his own usurpation.

Cubans born in Canada are in no way natural born citizens of the USA.

I agree. I’m shocked how fast folks are condemning Cruz as forever tainted.

Trump says stupid stuff all the time, as does Jim Jordan and the few others who speak up. Let it go. We dont have enough fighters to x people out.

We should not want anyone on the court who believes that Anwar al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are natural born citizens eligible to be President.

I saw the craziest video of Jan 6th last night for the first time and it was on Tucker.

A guy on what appeared to be an observation platform with a bullhorn yelling commands to the crowd including to go inside the capitol. This guy has never been identified and has not been arrested even though he is among several others on the platform and easily visible. WTF? This whole false flag attempt was so sloppy and can be so easily dismantled by even the greenist of journalists...and yet crickets.

“Senator Cruz said something really stupid.”

He said something stupid MULTIPLE TIMES over a 7 month period.

This is on top of the “vote your conscience” statement and refusal to endorse Trump that could have given us Hillary Clinton as president.

“We might need him in the future.”

Yes, we might, but will he be there for us? His track record says: maybe, maybe not.

But I have to say, using the term in May also is not a good look!

I agree with the general sentiment. But this shows there might be a pattern of mislabeling.

Trump says stupid stuff all the time

Yeah, but he never says anything that makes us question whose side he's on.

Once again Cruz shows us his ass. He had that attack ad about Melania published. He was an ass at the convention. Runs off to Cancun when a disaster hits the state. And chimes in with Pence and Pelosi and Cheney now. Silent on the election steal and coup.
This isn’t a slip, it’s who he is.

Agreed. Cruz was practically in tears, mourning the de facto end of his political career.

I saw it also. The ‘bullhorn guy’ was from the clips presented by Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene at their press conference yesterday.

Why hasn’t Ted Cruz and his fellow GOP Senators made a big deal about the ‘Bullhorn Man’ or Ray Epps?

Just maybe the reason for silence on the part of Ted Cruz and his fellow GOP Senators is that they were willing participants in the coup to remove Trump in the Nov 2020 election>

Cruz trying to thread the needle here, sideline Trump while attempting to get his supporters. It wont work.

Cruz tried to deflect by bringing up points that Tucker would agree with but Carson would have none of it. The May 28 press release was not mentioned and so protestations by Cruz last night that it was just a temporary slip up and not intentional don’t wash.

So what? We know what he is.

It was delicious seeing him flip and flop on Tucker’s show last nite.

What the hell is wrong with Cruz?

He's in love with his own intellect. That is the sum total of it right there. 'Pod

Cruz is all over the place on this one because he is a consummate politician. He is still preferable to many in the Senate and there he will stay.
