Automaker Chrysler just announced plans to go completely electric by 2028, anticipating the release of its first electric vehicle by 2025.
Chrysler announced the plans along with a new AI-enabled vehicle system powered by a battery that the company says can travel 350 to 400 miles per charge, as The Associated Press reported.
Chrysler is part of Europe’s Stellantis, which last month announced a new strategy to embed AI-enabled software into millions of vehicles across its 14 different brands. This could gain Stellantis $22.6 billion in annual revenue by 2030.
This is all part of the race among automakers to produce more completely electric and hybrid cars that also have more autonomous driving features. Overall, this would begin shifting cars away from gasoline-powered engines.
As one of the main American brands of Stellantis, Chrysler will be on the front lines of this change in the auto industry in North America.

Mercedes is also going 100% electric by 2030. Apparantly they see where this is all headed and the value in it. I do not think the master race Germans take dummy pills.

Tesla made 1.1 billion profit in 4th qtr.
Could have sold an additional 200k cars but supply chain issues and parts shortages stopped that.

Tesla made 1.1 billion profit not counting emissions credits from the gov’t. They made 1.6 billion in 2nd qtr 2021.
That is surprising for a Neon.
I remember a New car dealer telling me the Neon had the lowest trade in value in comparison to any other automobile.

My nephew is one of those tech bros trying to find a place in rural Tennessee. Every property he finds, already has an offer, usually well above asking. Look what they are doing to Idaho. Idaho for cripes sakes.

Well, I’ve wanted a Chrysler 300 for awhile now. Better get a used one before they go all electric, cause I’m in Texas and certainly have no reason for that crap.

So true. The place my niece is looking was a empty farm field 2 years ago and now it has 400-500 homes.
The realtor told her if they don’t make a move soon they will have to move even further out. The house they looked at 8 months ago went up $45k
I told the story here recently of two immigrants at our Thanksgiving dinner. One a daughter of "immigrants" from Peurto Rico. Yes, I know it is a territory the United States but not a fully functioning part of the United States and never has been. Another a daughter of refugees from Papua New Guinea. Just two families, probably 200 people together at this point and grandkids keep popping out.
Now multiply by the millions. How many hundred thousand came in last month alone?

I live in a poor rural part of appalachia with no jobs. Our town is 80% seniors and all the young people have left. The ones who are left are all meth heads. Abandoned empty homes are everywhere.
We never had the housing boom in the mid 2000’s. Our home prices have actually dropped over the last 10 years.
We were as coal town and all those jobs evaporated but coal now is being mined at record levels once again.
Hope it brings some people back. I hope when house prices get so high people will discover our little town.
You're being very conservative. I'm retirement-age and I can remember both my grandfathers complaining about the Chryslers they bought as young men being junk.

Having spent four winters in Minnesota, I can confirm that battery power declines the colder it gets.
