Former President Donald Trump backed the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines during an interview with conservative media personality Candace Owens on Wednesday after she attempted to undermine the vaccines’ success.
“I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines,” Trump said during the interview. “All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.”
“Yet more people have died under COVID this year, by the way, under Joe Biden, than under you and more people took the vaccine this year,” Owens interjected. “So people are questioning how —”
“Oh no, the vaccines work,” Trump jumped in. “But some people are the ones — the ones who get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take the vaccine. But it’s still their choice. And if you take the vaccine, you’re protected.”

I agree. I think Trump is better doing what he is doing rather than running again for president. Even with the errant statements, in my opinion, on the vaccine.
We at FR and on the right have never had a problem with the vaccine itself.

I don’t even know what supporting vaccines means really.
Vaccines have been around for a real long time. I don’t pay them much attention either way, unless I think I need one.
Does a vax supporter put vax bumper stickers on their car? Donate to Pfizer anonymously? Donate to organizations that provide vax to third world?
I don’t want to get this mRNA shot, and I have my reasons. What’s the opposing position?
I don’t think I have ever met anyone that opposes voluntary vaccinations. I don’t.

Covid is not dangerous to most people, especially children and upung people. The vaccine is dangerous though. Any other time, vaccines like this would not have bern approved. They should be yanked off the market.
People have died from taking the vaccine. Also there is a reason it is called the clot shot.
Trump’s point is arguable, but it doesn’t matter. Wake me when he starts supporting mandatory vaccinations.

I don’t understand Trump’s sudden desire to “own” the vaxxes, as if they have some kind of track record of unblemished success. At best, it’s a mixed bag.

Actually a very clever statement. The Left can hardly contradict him since they are hell bent on forcing everyone to take the jab.
I don’t get why he’s doing this but there must be a tactical reason. I’m not going to get hysterical over it.
I like Trump. But if he keeps this up, DeSantis is looking better and better. He wants credit and sometimes, it’s just not all about him.
