Former President Donald Trump leads the hypothetical 2024 GOP primary by double-digits, a Harvard/Harris Poll released this week found.
The survey asked Republican voters, “If the Republican presidential primary for the 2024 election was held today, who would you vote for? “
According to the survey, a primary with Trump in the mix would be no contest, as he leads his closest potential challenger by 58 points, garnering 67 percent support. No other potential challenger garnered double digit support. Former Vice President Mike Pence came in second with nine percent support, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) with eight percent support.

If he were the Republican nominee I would vote for him. Right now I would rather have someone not so divisive to run with Trump’s backing and approval

Ya just gotta love that GOP passive aggressiveness.
What better way to show the truth in the appellation of “stupid party”
ANY Republican will be made to look divisive ANY, Trump tells the truth and if that is divisive then so be it!!
Liz Cheney and lil Billie Mouth Breather Kristol hardest hit.
If not DeSantis, then Trump/Desantis and the Governor can run in the top spot in 2028.
Or they are pro-establishment trolls.
I don’t trust posters like this on FreeRepublic. There is just too much information posted here for someone to be that stupid.
The rest of the Republican party can KMLWA.
Until they fix the problems they allowed to be created in 2020, namely wide spread mail in/drop off voting and ballot harvesting, the same issues will arise.
And they have not fixed those problems...heck, they are trying to enshrine them into law.
The same results are assured. We can vote 75-25% for Trump but unless there are real and tough safeguards,, the cheating will happen/ it only took 5-6 cities for it to happen last time.
The simple answer is Pence is getting the RINO votes of roughly 10% traitorous treacherus bass... droppings!
58 points. That’s gotta be some kind of record.
can’t believe it either, but then probably the establishment RINO group.
Try to understand. Trump is not a divisive figure. The media made him divisive and will do that with anyone that you’d actually ever want leading the country. Trump was the pride of New York before the media turned him into a racist who hated Mexicans and African Americans. Just so you understand, not of that is true. Before the media started making things up the Hip Hop community loved Trump, referenced him all of the time. Whoever your favorite alternative is you can be confident that he will be a rightbwin baffoon whose only desire is to keep black people down and take away a woman’s right to choose. Trump has had thr courage to call it fake news. Your preferred candidate won’t be so bold and if he is he’ll just be another Trump. A divisive figure who appeals to the far far right and who would represent a step backwards from all of the progress that ha been made in America. Hopefully I’ve taught you something.
He doesn't... Not among conservatives in my neck of the woods anyway...
I was pretty high on Pence when he was Governor of Indiana, but as VP he fell short of the mark...
Agree. Leave DeSantis here in FL where he belongs.
I cannot vote for Trump in any primary, because a primary is about selecting the person. As a person Donald Trump is a lying no class jackass.
However in the general election the choice is really about what party you want to govern so I would have to support any Republican over and Democrat.
You are a fukking loser.
What a fool. Trump was one of the greatest Presidents ever at the the right time and you missed the whole GD thing. Idiot.
“President Trump has my vote.”
He’ll have mine if (1) he pipes down about promoting the needle-rape “vaccines”, and (2) he gets loud about the POWs being held for being in DC on January 6. Then we’ll talk.
Trump / Desantis in 2024, Desantis in 2028
Pence is more conservative than Trump, but not inspiring.
Maybe take AF1 for a spin or two first.
