Former President Donald Trump leads the hypothetical 2024 GOP primary by double-digits, a Harvard/Harris Poll released this week found.

The survey asked Republican voters, “If the Republican presidential primary for the 2024 election was held today, who would you vote for? “

According to the survey, a primary with Trump in the mix would be no contest, as he leads his closest potential challenger by 58 points, garnering 67 percent support. No other potential challenger garnered double digit support. Former Vice President Mike Pence came in second with nine percent support, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) with eight percent support.

Pence would not beat DeSantis, no way. But DeSantis already alluded to not running in 2024. Hopefully he will run in 2028.

I fully support Trump for a third term. I know only FDR was elected for more than two but Trump should easily win election a third time.

“How did Pence manage to rank so high?”

The Hariis Poll / X-Harris poll is like the Politico pollsters. They lean left. The Pence “numbers” are probably their excuse to sneakily increase it as the months go by into 2023. If Trump “leads’ by 58, I do think it’s MORE than 58.

The ones supporting Pence in the primaries will not be voting for Trump in the general.

The majority of Trump voters go DeSantis if Trump doesnt run. Pence is the Jeb wing of the party, thus the 9% makes sense.

If he were the Republican nominee I would vote for him. Right now I would rather have someone not so divisive to run with Trump’s backing and approval.

DeSantis,as VP with Trump, gives 8 years of DeSantis after Trump. In my opinion, this is the best option. DeSantis, as he has shown, is a doer and would be enormous help to Trump.

I can assure you that anyone running with an R by their name will be made into someone “divisive” by the fake news.

I’d like to Donald pass the torch to Don Jr.

DeSantis/Don Jr. would be a frightening ticket to hard core democrats.

DeSantis X 2 then Don Jr. X2

We’re a long way from 2024, and a lot can happen between now and then. One thing I hope will happen is that Trump gets a potential cabinet and staff lined up and ready, with dependable, smart people he can count on. The collection of back-stabbers and Washington establishment lifers the last time around can’t happen again.

This. Anyone thinking that Candidate DeSantis or President DeSantis would not face the same all-out war of dirty tricks, smear campaigns and official corruption is kidding themselves.

Almost every Trump supporter I have met has said they would vote for DeSantis if Trump was not on the ticket. DeSantis would certainly have my vote.

Anyone who is not divisive is just another Bush acolyte who would cave on 90% of the the left wants.

I want someone who will tell it as it is, and trust me, to the left the truth will always be divisive.
