Conservation groups are offering nearly $43,000 for any information on wolves that were poisoned in Oregon this year.
The organizations Wolves of the Rockies, Trap Free Montana, The 06 Legacy Project, Greater Hells Canyon Council, the Humane Society of the United States and other private donations raised the reward for information about the wolves to $42,977, The Oregonian reported.
The poisonings, which are under police investigation, were discovered after a wolf with a tracking collar stopped moving in February, according to the Oregonian.

Beware. A lot of Freepers are bloodthirsty lunatics with no regard for animal life.

That is the reason government trappers were so busy for the last 150 years.
Bringing back the wolves simply restarted the problems that were eliminated.
Precisely what killed these wolves? Compound 1080? A cyanide capsule projector(M44)? Anti-freeze? A bullet?

The feds are always trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist, thus creating new problems.

A lot of Freepers have an almost medieval fear & hatred for wolves. I think they read too many fairytales growing up…

A lot of time, money and effort went into the campaign to get rid of wolves in the lower 48. There were lots of good reasons to do it.
The purposes to re-introduce wolfs are mostly fraudulent.

Being from idaho where non indigenous wolves have been introduced ,they have decimated the indigenous elk population ,I would like to see them removed no matter what the means.

I believe it was Cleveland Amory who got the pro-wolf movement started way back in the late 1960s. He was also very anti-hunting and anti-gun.
I remember some party given, in which Ron Ely brought his “pet” which attacked some guests. I don’t remember if it was a wolf or a big cat.
