Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that Republicans like Sens. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul criticizing him were “lying” while he is “saving lives.”
MARGARET BRENNAN: There’s a congressional act with your name on it, literally.
FAUCI: Yes, exactly. And it’s just a lot of- well, anyway —

FAUCI: No- no. There’s a lot of politicization of that, a lot of misinformation, disinformation and outright lies about that.
You’re angry about it.
FAUCI: My job is to do what I can as a scientist to preserve and protect the health of the American public and in many respects, the health of the world because our country is a leader in science. Where did these vaccines come from that are saving millions of people? They came from us. That’s my job. The politicization of it is really unfortunate because, I’ve stayed away from politics my entire life. I am somebody who only cares about science and health, and it’s painful and disturbing to see when you’re trying to focus all of your attention on doing what you can do the way we did to create the vaccines, to save millions of lives. And then you have this completely outlandish politicization of it.
BRENNAN: Why do you feel so strongly about staying on the job when you become, I mean, you were personally not just rhetorically threatened, your security, your safety, your family? How did you deal with that?
FAUCI: I dealt with it by focusing on what my job is from the time that I went into medicine to right now, where I am at my age, my job has been totally focused on doing what I can with the talents and the influence I had to make scientific advances to protect the health of the American public.

I think he was on many lamp-post lists, but they guy is certainly engaged in an all out fight to get to the top.
I have yet to hear this man utter a sentence that convinces me that he has a scientific outlook on anything. He is a bureaucratic dictator in the body of Bill Gates.

Fauci has jumped into the political deep end. He would much better serve us if he’d explain the other reports we’re seeing, such as “data from the UK shows that the vaccines aren’t saving any lives at all.”

Concur. That this warped sociopath, devoid of all meaningful credentials, has the nerve to call himself a "scientist" tells you all you need to know. The man doesn't know sh*t. Having always failed to receive such, as he's not entitled to it, he's nevertheless been allowed to create a bureaucratic empire, where those who want governmental grant money must kiss his, um, ring.
Trump's failure to send this clown packing at the outset of the pandemic was his gravest mistake, for which the country is still paying.
