The jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Travis McMichael and his father, Gregory, and their neighbor, William "Roddie" Bryan.
The three men, who are white, each face charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and criminal attempt to commit a felony in the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery, 25, who was Black, on Feb. 23, 2020, in Georgia.
They face up to life in prison if convicted of the more serious charges.
The nearly all-white jury, which has one Black member, began deliberating the men's fate on Tuesday.
I know that, and I addressed it in post #140.
“The three men, who are white,”
wow, the white liberal guilt ass clowns from the MSM make sure to type that in. But if 100 ghetto animals attack and rob a mall, they never mention the color..
Do you have a criminal history? Do you go into the same house over and over at night? Do you RUN when someone spots you?
Did he threaten to blow his head off?
Murders, mass or otherwise, didn’t come through my office.
Technically trespassing but never enforced except on very rare occasions.
The things you say here are factually incorrect.

Did you read the Police Report? I did.
Arbery had no where to run. Especially after being hit by the pickup.
It may have been because Arbrey apparently had a documented history of engaging in criminal activity and claiming to be “running” when caught.
If true, it doesn’t change the fact that the defendants were correctly found guilty of murder. But it might provide some defense to the federal hate crime charge, as evidence that they weren’t targeting him because of his race.
I wasn't on the jury (obviously) but I have read there was eyewitness testimony to that effect, yes.
“Didn’t the cops tell the neighbor to call mcmichael if they spotted Arbery because mcmichael was former LE?”
Yes, and that was BAD advice. TERRIBLE advice. “Former” means he was a civilian, not a cop. I think (not sure)
the person who told the property owner that got in trouble for it.
Indeed
It’s all about race now.
I don’t think this guy should have shot Aubrey, because Aubrey didn’t appear to present any immediate threat. But LE should have intervened earlier, because the only reason people become “vigilantes” is that their local law enforcement has failed.
And one of the reasons for this is that LEOs are reluctant to go after criminals who are not “white”. ”White” appears to include anybody of European descent, including Hispanics (who are of European descent, with some Indian and African admixtures, because the Spanish married anybody who was or could be Christian).
So we need better legitimate law enforcement in this country. But not beat downs of peaceful protestors, as in Australia, Austria and many other places). Just the laws, ma’am.
I didn’t follow this case at all. What I did see of it was shortly after it happened, and as I am not a local (this pretty much a local matter), I haven’t looked into the nitty gritty details. Nor am I likely to. Have enough “dumbass-committed” murders right here at home.
This case has zero national importance.
“McMichael Sr knew Arbery and knew his record. Arbery wasn’t jogging in work boots and there had been a rash of thefts and break-ins, of cars AND houses. They knew a gun had been stolen from a car. The police WERE called and they intended to hold Arbery until the police got there. Arbery grabbed McMichael Jrs gun and fought him for it. Arbery lost. They aren’t guilty but may be convicted of being white.”
Please don’t confuse people with the facts. Everybody on FR is basing their opinion I guess on watching CNN. It’s almost as bad as people who still think Kyle shot black people.
Did all 3 defendants shoot Arbery? Did all 3 say they were going to kill him? There seems to be some missing information.
Like the rest of us, you have your right to an opinion. I say life is appropriate.
Folks, when this first broke over a year ago, I found a copy of the police report on-line and read it several times. It had statements by both McMichaels.
I got on Google Earth and followed the sequence of events as told in the police report.
I watched the video 25-30 times.
I knew a year ago that these guys were in huge trouble. The story they gave the cops did not match the facts of the street layout and the video.
I have never defended Arbery’s past. But the events as they occurred THAT DAY, recorded by the camera and stated by the defendants sank their citizens arrest case.
There were no winners in this case. A young man is dead and these three men are going to prison for decades.
Well I will tell you. If they get life, I won’t lose any sleep over it.
But this crime is also, I think as flashed by on my screen, is eligible for the death penalty.
Do you think the death penalty is appropriate?
Well said! One seldom encounters anyone as stupid as this brainless trio.
This is the one where an alleged “Jogger” charged a man holding a firearm...Seems a bit odd.
