Today we have to wonder what will be the more likely cause of the next riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Will it be an acquittal of the defendant either by the jury or a directed verdict of Not Guilty? And if the latter happens will they riot because the judge is apparently a Lee Greenwood, even to the extent of have "God Bless the USA" as a ringtone on his phone.
The judge suggests that the trial should be ready to wrap up by Tuesday.
Progressives Demand ‘Mistrial’ Over Rittenhouse Judge’s ‘God Bless The U.S.A.’ Ringtone
I expect soon that legislation will be introduced that no one may act in the capacity of a judge in a BLM/ANTIFA-related case unless they can prove that they share their vision of a defunct America. Never again will we see judges with pro-American values.
I live in rural, bible belt Missouri and could leave the keys in my vehicle and technically I do but I toss them in the console. The exception is when I go to walmart.
“As a very naive watcher, how can a judge sense what the jurors are thinking? I’m sure this is true for a veteran judge, but I’m curious what he looks for or what he sees to believe a non guilty verdict. This is quite interesting. Thanks for your answer.”
Body language, attentiveness, note-taking. Still, you can never really tell until they deliver a verdict. I’ve seen a jury deliver a very obvious “not guilty” and have the judge tell them that they got it wrong, but it was their decision to live with. I could tell the jury was coming back with not guilty, but the guy arguing the case was 50/50, and he was looking them in the eyes all day.
Do jurors discuss the case among themselves daily, or only at the conclusion of the trial?
He won’t have to rule on it when the verdict is not guilty.
Defense made the motion to preserve the issue on appeal if Rittenhouse is somehow found guilty on any charge.
And, if Rittenhouse is found guilty on the most minor charge, the judge could grant this motion for mistrial on that charge. The prosecution isn’t going to retry that case.
They aren’t supposed to talk about it outside of deliberations, but people are people. I imagine they all have a pretty good idea of who is leaning what way. I imagine they (and their families) are all being threatened by Antifa/BLM. “Not guilty” is going to take some courage.
Time to verdict means little. Slam dunk cases either way go fast. Confusing cases take time. Juries are often going through a checklist of questions and that can take time too.
The two axioms of holes:
1. When you are in one, stop digging.
2. When your opponent is in one, let them keep digging.
Rittenhouse’s lawyers saw that Rittenhouse was kicking the prosecutors ass, so why object. Rittenhouse did great. Making objections would have distracted from Rittenhouse’s amazing performance.
+Kyles Mom is appearing on Hannity this evening.....Fox Nudes is running it as a bottom screen news banner.
why is the trial and witness bogged down in the pixel addition changing color.... why is that significant?
I believe because the DA wants to use a video that’s from google, that changes the image and the defense doesn’t want it in. (I think this is the issue)
Looks to me like he is trying to get the photos tossed out because of possible distortion during the enlargement process.
And pissed off over the weekend because Binger wasted their time is going to make them favorably disposed on Tuesday.
Thank you. IIRC, the majority of the jury is white. Is there any other information on them? I haven’t seen anything.
Unless there are frames removed I do not see the point in what they are discussing
Its crappy quality cell phone video to start with adjusting brightness/ contrast to make the image better isn’t like editing out video frames.
Jury must be getting sickandtired of this
It goes, I believe, to the elevation of the muzzle of the rifle. Some photos may be distorted so as to show the barrel of the gun is higher than it really was. If the barrel was not pointing to the ground as the defense states, the ADA makes the claim that the gun was pointed at the attacker.
Is the judge wearing a tie today with American flags on it?
Maybe the cops software program should be called “ChangeEvidence, vers. 1.4”
yep :)
Defense is trying to exclude enlargement of drone video that prosecution says shows Kyle pointing his gun at people.
Defense is arguing “added colors,” which of course is what interpolation does. Interpolation is mathematically picking an in between value. The image can be enlarged by enlarging the pixels, everything the same color, then it looks pixelated. Smoothing it out necessitates adding pixels and blending colors.
I think the image may be misleading because of the distance between camera and objects. A view from one direction can’t - flat can’t - reveal with any certatinty the direction of a two dimensional “line” (barrel of the gun). He could be pointing left 10 degrees or right 10 degrees and it looks the same from the side.
