Judge Bruce Schroeder of the Kenosha County Court accused prosecutors of a “grave constitutional violation” in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse on Wednesday morning after they tried to comment on his earlier reactions to testimony in the case.
Rittenhouse stunned observers by taking the witness stand in his own defense, something that defendants rarely do in such trials. He recalled the events of Aug. 25 last year, when he fired on members of a mob attacking him during a Black Lives Matter riot. As he began to describe the events leading to the shootings, he broke down, and the trial took a brief recess.

I can see Kyle being convicted of something, just not murder. A couple of jurors are going to have to be “that guy” for Kyle to completely walk.

We, tax payers, pay these idiots; they are to bring JUSTICE, even if JUSTICE says there’s no evidence, meaning they walk from prosecuting it.
This case has plenty of evidence that Kyle is innocent of their charges and they knew it before they prosecuted. In fact, THEY CHEATED, by asking one guy to change his testimony and for blocking the investigation of one of the perp’s phones. This is a sham trial
Well, since FJB used Kyle’s picture on his tweet about White Supremacist. Kyle is the new poster boy for the KKK.
I think we need this judge to preside over the Jan 6 sham trials!
Perhaps the prosecutor is trying to impress a person who is not a party to the proceedings in the courtroom.
This prosecutor has been a disgrace in this trial. He should be disbarred.
Sadly, that is not how it works. The DA decides if a prosecution is to be pursued, but the prosecutor is there to ‘win’ his case and put another notch in his belt. Bad prosecutions are pursued all the time.
Getting the guilty guy is the goal, and the guy on trial might not really be a guilty guy

Remember, prosecutors often have their eyes on higher office and the better the W/L percentage, the better the odds of attaining that goal.
It certainly seems to me that in a number of areas in this country the legal authorities, and I do not refer to the police in this particular comment, are acolytes of the Soviet Union. The legal system in some of these cities is so corrupt that it’s third world.

Not possible. MCV is one of the best courtroom drama/comedies evah. The prosecution is competently handled and is winning right up to very end, when the surprize expert witness is introduced. In the Rittenhouse case the prosecution is being led by the Three Stooges, but without the humor. These prosecutors will be lucky not to face sanctions after this case is over.
Nifong would still be DA if the Duke lacrosse frame up incident happened recently.

The prosecution is playing games and has no facts, just trying to trick Kyle and the jury. This should be a mistrial based on their actions.
They (I don’t know who) took a poll of lawyers and judges on which movie or TV show was the most realistic and probable...My Cousin Vinny was voted #1...
