White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Friday that it is "misinformation" to use the term "vaccine mandate" when referring to the Biden administration's "vaccine requirement" for private companies, which states that employers with at least 100 employees must require their workers to get vaccinated or undergo weekly coronavirus testing.
The policy, along with two other Biden vaccine mandates that will impact federal contractors and about 17 million health care workers, is scheduled to take effect Jan. 4. Certain medical and religious exemptions will be granted.
There is a Dec. 8 compliance deadline for workers employed directly by the federal government.
Lawsuits from a number of private businesses and GOP-led states have been filed in response to the administration's vaccine mandates for businesses and federal contract workers.
"As for the legal side of this, let me be crystal clear to avoid what appears to be possible misinformation or disinformation around the emergency temporary standard being a ‘vaccine mandate.’ That would be on its face incorrect," Jean-Pierre said at Friday's White House press briefing.

A “requirement”, not a mandate. Either way, they can kiss my lily white unvaxxed behind.
Yep. This actually touches on one reason I refuse the jab:

Wasn't there something published not long ago about their ability to "administer" a vaccine during the "test" using the nasal swab?
Typical for a dictatorship. Lie like hell to cover up the lies.
A f****** mandate when my three kids who work for government contractors are set to be fired.
Since when IS a requirement NOT a mandate ? Stop the debate over words mean nothing democrats !
Your three kids who are government contractors might be able to apply for a religious (or maybe “personal belief”) or medical exemption. I’m a federal employee and a supervisor, and one of my employees has applied for a religious exemption, and I plan to approve it.
Half of students who applied for religious/medical exemptions at Cal State have been approved (I know this because there was a data breach leaked to the press).
This is being done. They all have legitimate medical ( my 20 year auto immune disease caused by a flu shot) reasons but NO doctors around here will sign off on them. They’re afraid to lose their licenses
Tell that to those serving in the military.
Kinda like the NYS gun law...you need to prove a reason for hidden carry....not just cuz....

I’d suggest a religious exemption request rather than a medical exemption request. I’ve heard the same—that doctors around the US won’t sign off on medical exemption requests. No one needs to sign off on a religious exemption request.
Perhaps we should just cut to the chase and call it a “diktat”.
If they did then I want my card. Had to have the swab prior to my carotid surgery in September. Negative. Last week Mrs rktman had to do the swab prior to her gall bladder removal. Negative. We are both un-jabbed and have been in large crowds and many “questionable” locations since this started. So far so good. Knock on wood. We use plastic shields that attach to our glasses frames 99.9% of the time where required to have a “face covering”. Seems the only place that they aren’t accepted is at med facilities.

Again, why should any individual “NEED” approval to NOT get the vax? Yeah, I know, rhetorical.
Again we agree on this. Why the “NEED” to be approved to NOT get something. What the actual hell? And-———rhetorical again.
The stupid covid crap of the day: the Blue Angels will be performing in Pensacola today. The event will be held on Pensacola Beach instead of the Naval Air Station as ususal because covid. Apparently, if you park your car on Pensacola Beach and walk to the observation area you’re less likely to get or spread covid than if you do the same exact thing at the Naval Air Station.
This is insulting. We’re not stupid, clarifying a legal difference in the words is not necessary. The net effect of ‘requirement’ and ‘mandate’ having the same outcome - no jab = no job.
Don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
Let’s go Brandon. . .
