One day after the Senate approved a temporary lift to the U.S. debt ceiling, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden that he would not aid Democrats again in raising the debt limit.

They do NOT have the votes. Need 60 to get by filibuster. Parliamentarian rules they can’t pass it via the method requiring only 51 votes (or 50 + VP breaking a tie).
Proof: Democrats have 50 votes but needed 10 Republicans (and got 11)...

Wow! LOL. And it’s only 2021, I hope it holds out and I get a trophy - be like the millenial generation - who get trophies for everything, including doing nothing, doing things poorly, and failure. (except I won’t be around to find out if it does).
McConnell has been wheeling and dealing with the Democrats since he has been an elected official. December will be more of the same.
