LEESBURG, Va. – Parents in Loudoun County, Virginia rallied on Saturday in support of having a stronger say in classroom curricula, encouraging people to take their grievances to the ballot box in November.
The rally, held outside the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors’ building in Leesburg, welcomed roughly over a hundred parents, activists, and community organizers to speak on what’s at stake in the governor’s race.
“The Virginia election is going to be the first election where politicians are held to account over what we’re seeing, not just here, but across the country,” said Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote.org, which co-hosted the event.
The event was also hosted by Fight for Schools, a nonpartisan political action committee that helps elect political candidates who “support equal opportunity, tolerance, meritocracy, and achievement.”
The rally came shortly after Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe’s recent comments about limiting parental input in classrooms.
“I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,” Mr. McAuliffe said last week in the final debate against GOP nominee Glenn Youngkin.
Mr. McAuliffe’s comments were quickly turned into an attack ad by Mr. Youngkin, which juxtaposed his position next to images of parents speaking at school board meetings.
The Democrat, who served as governor from 2014 to 2018, later doubled down on his comments, saying the state’s Board of Education in conjunction with local school boards should determine what’s taught in classrooms.
“Listen, we have a Board of [Education] working with local school boards to determine the curriculum for our schools. You don’t want parents coming in every different school jurisdiction saying this is what should be taught here, this is what should be taught here,” Mr. McAuliffe told CBS 19 of Charlottesville.

Are there any reliable polls on this race?
Only one.
Achtung! Richmond and NOVA democrap liberals order you to comply!
A lot of Americans realize this Communist Revolution might win and are stepping up to the plate to stop it.
McAuliff imho is a slime Clintonoid. Virginia can do better.
MCauliffe intends to win using industrial scale voter fraud in NOVA. He right now is severely underwater, but he doesn’t care because there is industrial scale voter fraud in VA. The press is corrupt and will cover it up, being the evil and corrupt people they are.
Now, if Glenn Youngkin actually wanted to be Governor he would and could easily win this by going around and pointing out the voter fraud that is taking place right now. He has data folks and canvassers...
My guess is he will concede nicely to the fraud and say “Aw Shucks” and “we’ll have to try and do better next time”
which of the N. Virginia counties have the heavy Muslim population??
How many GreenTech type scams does McCaulif have in the hopper for VA on day one.
I note that a Catholic vote organization is one the case. The election workers(especially the lily white woke moms whose kids aren’t being educated) have to be convinced not to run the pro McAuliff votes thru the machines an extra 5 or 6 times and then the fraud would be eliminated. That is how most of the fraud is done. Yes there is fake ballot padding but most of it is done by multiple pass-thrus of the 8X11 scantron ballots we use in most of Virginia! The rest is padding of district vote ballots by numbers that don’t match the amount of registerd voters in the district or who don’t show up on the sign in lists as having showed up(or by mail) to vote. Ghost voters....ballots with no visible means of support. The fraud can stop if those who are participating in it realize that the dem leadership is screwing them, too!
I think a series of specialized ads that target election workers of both parties to do the right thing and stop the fraud might help. It would certainly raise a ruckus but the attention brought to the election worker might induce a few of them at key districts to do the right thing.(If the ads are done right!)
Please, Virginia!
Send McAwful packing!
what did mcawful say? parents have no say in their child’s education?
