I’d also add almost all Rap and hip-hop music but I don’t

Hype is an industry thing, usually pushing a band without the goods to back it up. By that standard.....Starland Vocal Band, was the most over-hyped, hands down. They got a TV show on the strength of their one stupid hit. They played that piece of crap show a lot before they finally gave it up.
