While the number of Americans receiving some form of government assistance steadily expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people paying taxes fell to a modern low.
In 2020, 61% of all Americans — an estimated 107 million U.S. citizens — paid no taxes, according to a new report from the Tax Policy Center.

Umm..so the numbers in this article don’t seem to match up.
The legal population of the U.S. reported so far in 2021 is 333 million +-.
Add another 30 million illegals and the pop would be roughly 363 million people living inside our borders.
So stupid ol me does the rough math = 363,000,000 x 61% = 221.5 million. Double the number reported in this article.

Question is, did I pay my fair share? ? ?
This is what the Democrats want. If you have more than half the country not paying taxes and the constant phrase by the Democrats is “Tax the Rich”, you have an us vs them situation where the Democrats are on the majority side. They will run up the debt just so they can keep this conflict going. When the Democrats gain permanent power and elections mean nothing, everyone will be taxed.
Our Fascist government didn’t help by destroying thousands upon thousands of businesses by locking down our country.

People who pay no taxes favor higher taxes and more government spending.
Funny/Not Funny - The amount of tax I paid exceeded my entire military pension for the year - which is someone else’s tax money already. It used to be a wash, not anymore.
61% paid nothing and yet the rest “didn’t pay their fair share!”
