House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called Friday for public officials to pursue improvements to traditional capitalism, arguing the current U.S. economic system has led to widespread inequality.
"In America, capitalism is our system, it is our economic system, but it has not served our economy as well as it should," Pelosi said during a virtual event with think tank Chatham House. "And so, what we want to do is not depart from that, but to improve it and to make sure that it serves us."
Pelosi decried a gradual shift in recent decades from the concept of "stakeholder capitalism," which allowed wages for both executives and workers to rise based on productivity, to "shareholder capitalism," ...

Yeah, “stakeholder” is code for larceny in the making.

Perhaps we should follow her example and adopt corruption as a business model.

Piracy Capitalism has served House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (and her family) very well over the years. For her victims, not so much.

The right gets a lot of blame for the bade rep of “Capitalism”. They get the blame for fusing capitalism and globalism together, off shored production, starting 30 years ago...

We hamstring our workers with income taxes and at the same time let 3rd world products in duty free. This is revolutionary stuff that.

She’s right, but then she’s a part of the problem.
Economic fascists like Pelosi, who have rigged the political and legal system to ensure that those with the “right” political connections can compete. In other words, the government decides the winners and losers in business.
You know something is wrong when many companies spend more in lobbyists and political contributions than they do with improving their products or research!

Tariffs allowed a moribund auto industry to survive. This is good. Instead of throwing them under the bus we saved them for the long haul. Pure capitalism doesn't allow for the type of LONG TERM strategic nationalistic thinking at all.
In your defense as a "thank you" they moved to a lot of prod Mexico duty free. F them all.

Capitalism cannot function properly with so many socialists impeding the process. Tax and spend liberals will target small business the hardest as small business has no one to speak for them.
So, they move. Or close.
