“Freedom” can only be from Government.
There is a class of people in the government that is afraid of the people they wish to control. That is why they are so adamant about creating the strawman argument that white supremacy and white nationalism is the greatest threat to the country..
They loath truth, and hate God with all their hearts and souls. That’s why they are corrupt as they are.
The author is right…we are reaching one of those defining moments, and we have to fight back or forever lose our freedom. And I mean even our freedom to simply do normal everyday things and live normal everyday lives.
The pressure is growing, and people can feel it. But the problem is that there are no leaders. Trump has been pretty much sidelined by the effective maneuvering of the left, and he wasn’t really very much of a leader in preventing the initial stages of what is becoming a full blown tyranny (the lockdown). I don’t know his opinion on mandatory vaccines, quarantines, and restriction of the lives of citizens as “protection.” He wasn’t very good at the start and I remember when he attacked the Georgia governor for not shutting down. So I don’t think he’s going to be the one, although possibly he’s changed.
Certainly, there’s almost no leadership on the political front. Governors Abbot and DeSantis are good, but they have trouble with the left wing cities in their own states and the courts keep attacking and cutting down anything they attempt to do to free people. As for the Senators and Representatives, I don’t see much action there. And the vast majority of religious leaders have showed themselves to be either cowards or people who value Caesar way above anybody else.
International travel is practically forbidden so going somewhere else isn’t an option, and in any case, almost all the world’s countries are under the thumb of China and the “Chinese response,” which is to use artificially encouraged panic and fear to install a totalitarian society.
Maybe the author is right and leadership will spring up from where we least expect it.
Buy then of course there’s the problem of the media: if leadership emerges and nobody ever hears about it and the story is never covered, did it really happen? Not as far as having an impact, and of course our communications are increasingly spied upon and limited so even the informal means of information-spreading we thought we once had - particularly social media - is cut off.
This brings up an interesting thought process about peoples perception of what freedom really is. For example, some people do good in jail because they enjoy freedom from any responsibility.
