The author is right…we are reaching one of those defining moments, and we have to fight back or forever lose our freedom. And I mean even our freedom to simply do normal everyday things and live normal everyday lives.

The pressure is growing, and people can feel it. But the problem is that there are no leaders. Trump has been pretty much sidelined by the effective maneuvering of the left, and he wasn’t really very much of a leader in preventing the initial stages of what is becoming a full blown tyranny (the lockdown). I don’t know his opinion on mandatory vaccines, quarantines, and restriction of the lives of citizens as “protection.” He wasn’t very good at the start and I remember when he attacked the Georgia governor for not shutting down. So I don’t think he’s going to be the one, although possibly he’s changed.

Certainly, there’s almost no leadership on the political front. Governors Abbot and DeSantis are good, but they have trouble with the left wing cities in their own states and the courts keep attacking and cutting down anything they attempt to do to free people. As for the Senators and Representatives, I don’t see much action there. And the vast majority of religious leaders have showed themselves to be either cowards or people who value Caesar way above anybody else.

International travel is practically forbidden so going somewhere else isn’t an option, and in any case, almost all the world’s countries are under the thumb of China and the “Chinese response,” which is to use artificially encouraged panic and fear to install a totalitarian society.

Maybe the author is right and leadership will spring up from where we least expect it.

Buy then of course there’s the problem of the media: if leadership emerges and nobody ever hears about it and the story is never covered, did it really happen? Not as far as having an impact, and of course our communications are increasingly spied upon and limited so even the informal means of information-spreading we thought we once had - particularly social media - is cut off.

Trump has stated on numerous occasions that while he personally believes in the vax it should be a free choice each individual can make.

The president can be faulted if you want to look strictly at his words but it is also the case that for a man with not a shred of political experience he has literally accomplished miracles in his 4 yrs.

Every senior or in this case Chief Exec needs seasoned advisors to give him the information he needs so that he can do his job of decision making. When you receive faulty info and advice from these advisors you will invariably make bad decisions.

In Trumps case the swamp infested halls of government mislead him purposefully in many instances with his own Party’s people ( the main culprits are entrenched gov’t service types) back stabbing him.

Re #5: totally agree.

Our side is bereft of leadership. Tens of millions of people who are just fish in a barrel, no place to go, churning as they are “landed” and destroyed, a little at a time.

I love our real President. He was re-elected overwhelmingly. And what he did with the opposition he had makes him one of the greatest presidents in history.

But he had two problems he never solved.

1) He could not get around the absolute barrier of McConnell, who obstructed him at every step, and forced traitors on him. McConnell led the “Republican” opposition against Trump nationally, greased by buckets of money, prestige and power. McConnel led the bribery and blackmail which assured that Trump was blocked at every step. And in all fairness, it is hard to imagine what Trump could have done except what he is doing now, belatedly, getting politicians on his side.

2) We all knew the election was going to be stolen. We ALL knew. The media announced it every day for a year, and each unfolding step was obvious. Obvious not in hindsight, but as it was happening.

I felt, and many people felt, that Trump had the theft in hand, that the perpetrators would be caught in real time and exposed, and the theft prevented.

It now appears that Trump was relying on his huge victory and did nothing or not enough. He knew he was going to win beyond the margin of fraud, or thought so. Consequently, he did nothing, or not enough, to prevent the theft, or to document the theft conclusively.

DeSantis looks like a genuine leader. There is nobody else that I can tell. That is a dangerous situation. Taking out one man is child’s play, and that is what will happen. Who else can step up?

But more significant is that our side has no one outside of politics to lead. We get a lot of phonies and empty suits, and a lot of our time is wasted on people who have done nothing except get us excited to no end. I am going to cite one person in that category, and expect a lot of hysterical response, but he is the perfect example.

Whatever else he may actually be, and to my mind it is dubious, Mike Flynn throws out stuff to great cheers and admiration, but what has he done? Besides siphoning off energy and attention?

There are many other Flynns out there. We can cheer, but get nothing, let alone leadership.

Add to the lack of leadership the abject cluelessness on our side, where people think we need Socratic dialogues and proof beyond a reasonable doubt, refusing to recognize that our government has been overtaken, the coup is complete, and the kulaks are in the process of elimination.

Yes, a ‘man of the people’ will emerge and his name is tyrant. At first he will serve the people but as power corrupts his name comes to have the meaning most associate with ‘being a tyrant’.

Like the markets turning we can never predict what sets off great changes in motion. But I sense one is coming in this great land of our. . . the great silent majority is slowly awakening. Just my 2¢.
