It should be a given that the Republicans will clean house in the ‘22 midterms. The fact that there is some doubt or question about that is a reflection on how pathetic the Republican brand has become and not much of an opposition party.

Why should they worry? Their “opponents” are the weak Republicans who specialize in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

And of course Politico has already started testing the blame GOP narrative. Which will be refined in countless deceitful ways as midterms approach.

Many Democrats increasingly fear that the tenets of Biden’s presidency — competence, calm and control — ...
When was Biden ever competent or calm or in control?

The WP sounding a little desperate here but hanging in there with the Biden apologia. In fact, it’s been a hellish seven months for the country: general inflation, specifically gasoline, electricity and food, a broken border with infected illegals pouring in, a broken Afghanistan plan with lives lost needlessly as a result, devastated foreign relations, increased media censorship, a $1.5 trillion boondoggle in spending, officially sanctioned racial hatred, political prisoners without a hope, and a wavering, stifling push for more government control with respect to public health. All of this is just fine with the Washington Post and the fat cat proggies in Congress who seem mystified that the country isn’t weeping with gratitude.

” unyielding pandemic”
The Democrats have weaponized the “pandemic”. I seriously believe they will try to keep it going until after the 2022 elections, but can they succeed?

The best the Republicans can do is warm up Obongo's and Biden's leftovers, dress them up with a new sprig of parsley. But as George Wallace presciently noted, there's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans.

The GOP has been mostly silent through this Kabul fiasco. There’s a reason for this. They have to hold their fire and see how the political winds blow because they have zero credibility on Afghanistan. They’ve spent too many years staking out a position in support of endless stupid wars and globalist nation-building for any intelligent voter to take them seriously.
