It should be a given that the Republicans will clean house in the ‘22 midterms. The fact that there is some doubt or question about that is a reflection on how pathetic the Republican brand has become and not much of an opposition party.

And of course Politico has already started testing the blame GOP narrative. Which will be refined in countless deceitful ways as midterms approach.

The GOP has been mostly silent through this Kabul fiasco. There’s a reason for this. They have to hold their fire and see how the political winds blow because they have zero credibility on Afghanistan. They’ve spent too many years staking out a position in support of endless stupid wars and globalist nation-building for any intelligent voter to take them seriously.

Maybe if the GOP ever stood for something other then their own political power, they’d be worth voting for. But since they don’t, they aren’t. They (GOP) are the other half of the uniparty and we know it. F the uniparty and that includes the do nothing GOP.

Nothing is “given” in the world of politics anymore. The Biden presidency will be polished up by the media. The Afghan debacle will be treated as inevitable and the result of as many Republican mistakes as Democratic. If they can weather the storm of the people left behind (no American hostages), Afghanistan will be forgotten. They will keep the pandemic alive for control, and if the economy doesn’t tank, a takeover of the House is far from certain.

The fact that 100% of the caucus hasn't demanded his resignation after his haphazard, carefree withdrawal from AFG killed 13 Marines who were sent in to clean up his mess tells you all you need to know about this "opposition party".

Well, if H.R. 4 is passed into law, we’ll wind up with 538 Democrats in 2022.

The fact that there is some doubt or question about that is a reflection on how pathetic the Republican brand has become and not much of an opposition party and how skilled the Democrats are at cheating.
