Gov. Greg Abbott appealed for out-of-state help Monday to fight the third wave of COVID-19 in Texas.
The request came as a county-owned hospital in Houston raised tents to accommodate their COVID-19 overflow. Private hospitals in the county already were requiring their staff to be vaccinated against the coronavirus....
...Abbott has directed the Texas Department of State Health Services to use staffing agencies to find additional medical staff from beyond the state’s borders as the delta wave began to overwhelm its present staffing resources. He also has sent a letter to the Texas Hospital Association to request that hospitals postpone all elective medical procedures voluntarily....

Last year, when it was bad in the Northeast, there was supposedly overflow, Trump sent ship to NYC, and then all of sudden, the emergency was over.
that’s because Cuomo was a drama queen. Abbott, not so much a drama queen. A million plus illegals refusing vaccinations may be headed elsewhere but they have to move through his and the rest of the border states to get to where they’re going. Prudent move I’d say.

In January, Texas was seeing about 400 COVID deaths a a day. But they handled it. Now, they see 50-75 COVID deaths a day. Time to panic? Too much for the health system to manage?
Abbott needs to talk about Biden and his illegal aliens. If you have too many cases, tell people WHY.

I am curious to see, if Cuomo put out of office, will anyone be emboldened to go after him for the nursing home fiasco. Can he be sued after he’s out of office?

No offense to anyone here, but President Donald Trump mobilized all the resources he had available at the time whether it was for a Red State or Blue city.
The current silence is deafening and failing to seal the border is criminal.
Current administration does not seem to care about COVID eradication.
I do not see any real resources allocated to COVID. Just mandates to harass the population.
Pushing useless mask for people, but not for them. Closing borders for legitimate tourists, but opening them for infected illegals.
Congress is busy with spending trillions, nothing there for COVID!
They sort of declared win and went to push their agenda, which has nothing to do with COVID treatment and eradication.
Get vaccinated with a vaccine that won’t prevent you from getting or spreading COVID. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Abbott needs to announce it’s to prepare for the influx of Biden’s unvaccinated illegal aliens that are storming the country and driving up the China Flu cases everywhere.
