Kathy Griffin revealed she has lung cancer despite “never” smoking and will be undergoing surgery to have half of her left lung removed.

The comedian announced the news Monday morning in a lengthy note posted to social media, sharing that the cancer is stage 1 and “contained.”

“I’ve got to tell you guys something. I have cancer. I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed,” she began her letter on social media. “Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked! The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung.”

Griffin, 60, said she’s hopeful that she won’t need to get chemotherapy or radiation treatment after the surgery and “should have normal function with my breathing.”

The problem is usually not that the person did something bad. They are usually innocent
. They just blame themselves.

For example, children blame themselves when parents fight.

Recently I was doing research on the consciousness patterns of a woman with breast cancer.

Without her saying a word, I reached into her soul and asked her why she was blaming herself for her elderly mother’s death three years ago.

She replied, “Because my Jewish mother told me it was my responsibility to keep her alive.”

When I touch the stored memory that is anchored in the physical body and is creating the predisposition to cancer, it pushes the person’s physical body to the left, often knocking them off their feet even though I am several feet away from them.

I’ve found this in 100% of the many dozens of people with cancer I have worked with over the past few years.

“Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, according to EPA estimates. Overall, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Radon is responsible for about 21,000 lung cancer deaths every year. About 2,900 of these deaths occur among people who have never smoked. On January 13, 2005, Dr. Richard H. Carmona, the U.S. Surgeon General, issued a national health advisory on radon.”

World Health Organization’s international radon project

see https://www.epa.gov/radon/health-risk-radon

I’m not a big fan of either the EPA or the WHO, but occasionally they get something right - the tie between radon and lung cancer is well-accepted in the scientific community, especially among cancer epidemiologists. That doesn’t mean it’s absolutely, positively, nobody-will-ever-find-anything else true, but I wouldn’t bet against it.

Nice post - most folks really have no idea how ubiquitous casual exposure to radiation is. My favorite example is the “banana equivalent dose”: https://www.epa.gov/radon/health-risk-radon. Essentially, a small fraction of the potassium in bananas is a radioactive isotope, and if you want illustrate to someone how dangerous (better, how non-dangerous) living near, say, Three Mile Island is, you can compare their exposure to eating a banana (spoiler - the banana is more dangerous). Though I will concede you don’t have to worry about a banana melting down.

And your point about the beneficial effects of low level exposure is well-taken - those who are interested in that topic should do a web search on radiation hormesis, and go to town chasing down the info.

I just spoke to the Lord last night about my attitude these days....it does not fit the popular belief pushed on society today of collective ‘feelings’ and the nonsense the left expects we should all hold....His response was clear....

“If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. .....Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.…”....John 15:19,20

Not at all. I research the neuroscience link with consciousness. It’s all based upon frequencies of consciousness based upon the action potential firing rate in the brain and how perception changes at various frequencies.

I won’t say what I am thinking, but it is probably in line with what she would say if Trump was diagnosed with cancer.

My parents and three siblings all smoked. Both parents and my second oldest sister died of lung cancer. My brother died of a massive heart attack at 51, and my oldest sister, died of a stroke at the age of 74, the oldest of anyone in my family. I was the baby, and never smoked in my life. I’ll be 74 next Monday, and have my own health issues. I’m not naive enough to think that I could never get lung cancer, or any other type of cancer.
