Hero hotel maid prevents ‘Vegas style’ massacre at All-Star Game: report (Denver)

A hotel maid is being hailed for her role in preventing what police fear could have been a “Las Vegas style shooting” at the upcoming MLB All-Star Game in Denver, a report said Saturday.

The housekeeper tipped off cops after she found more than a dozen weapons and 1,000 rounds of ammunition at a hotel near Coors Field Friday, according to ABC7 Denver.

The alarming discovery was made inside a room on the eight floor of the Maven Hotel, just two blocks from the mile-high ballpark that is hosting the “Midsummer Classic” Tuesday, the station said.

Cops removed 16 long guns, body armor, and ammo from the room, which had a balcony overlooking Denver’s downtown, the outlet reported.

Three men and a woman were arrested and charged with weapons possessions in connection with the cache. Three of the suspects were previous offenders, and three of them also were charged with intent to distribute drugs, the report said.

I see no good reason why the maid’s tip-off had to be mentioned. For all the cops know this was cartel business.

Perhaps this was a warning to any future would-be tipsters to think carefully before notifying authorities.

hats off the heroine housekeeper for her alertness and taking action to contact the cops (and hats off to them for not ignoring the warning), but this probably won’t be promoted much by the fascist media because:

1. three of the alleged perps were non-white

2. one perp was female

3. drug dealing possibly involved

4. perps had past criminal records

5. all’s well that ended well ... no mass slaughter

The way the media is portraying this, it doesn't make sense (surprise!) The hotel is a full block away from Coors field. It could have been used as a sniper perch but bullets would not be able to reach the stadium from there.

I am also concerned authorities have now sent a clear message to any future perpetrators: don't let any hotel employees into the room! Perhaps they should have just said police were alerted to odd activity in the room?
