Other measures ?

Like removing hydroelectric dams on the Columbia river ?

Cuz everyone knows all those dams were built solely to kill fish.

Morons. Hope they and California enjoy the return of seasonal flooding with all the death and damage flooding brings after they rip the dams out.

Along with rolling black outs. And suffocating of all plant and animal life after they reduce co2 'emissions' to zero.

This sounds like a setup for another Enron.

In Cali, they were so anti-energy that they frequently had to purchase energy from adjoining states at floating spot rates.

Since Oregon will never be able to have a totally green power system that can also handle surge needs (a cloudy spell, or a heat dome), they’re going to be at the mercy of the spot market. Somebody will take advantage of that situation... or if prevented by regulation, the state will suffer massive brownouts and blackouts from time to time.

20 years down the road that is enough time for those politicians to get their pensions and move to another state

Note to Oregonians: Check out NYS to see how this ends. And we haven’t even gotten there yet.

You can’t say you weren’t warned.

“100% Clean Energy” is like a perpetual motion machine. It violates the laws of thermodynamics and is nothing but political snake oil being sold to an ignorant public.

as man removes all carbon from the atmosphere, and watches the plants begin to die, they will see the folly of their ways.

fortunately, man contributes very little to the .o4% of the carbon in the atmosphere, nature will continue to emit volcanic eruptions and the forests will continue to decompose and the carbon will rise and fall with the temperatures, like it has always done.

Unhook from the interstate grid NOW. There should be NO possibility of receiving electricity tainted by fossil fuel ever reaching an Oregon customer.

this should be fun.
Need to see how many of the people are invested in out of state energy producers, since they are going to have to purchase power to meet thier goals. Sounds like a lucrative money laundering scheme.

I think it should be mandated that all electric car charging stations be funded by renewable energy sources only.

In reality, using a charging station that is powered by fossil fuel, coal or nuclear energy so you can save the planet by driving an electric car is hypocritical.

All of this insanity is predicated on the bogus “carbon bad” theory.

There was a report a couple weeks back showing the overall lifecycle carbon usage of “green” technologies was the same as for coal plants.

You cannot get to 100% green with wind and solar. The total installed battery systems today will power the grid for a FEW SECONDS.

There was a story yesterday about the big successes people are having stopping the monstrous wind farms. They are an evil visual blight on the world. We drive the Columbia River Gorge frequently and the magnificent scenic vistas are all ruined.

“grants for community-based energy projects” = $ lining the pockets of local corrupt “community” officials. Too bad OR elections have been corrupt and stolen for years. I know. I live here. If Reps were in majority this would not have passed.
