Why not just give Indians their own Indian holiday instead of taking away one from Columbus ?
Pubic school teachers and school boards are fully leftist now.
UnAmerican. Divisive. Socialist/communist. Brainwashing our young children.
I heard that was the plan. But then Juneteenth......
“...Pubic school teachers and school boards are fully leftist now....”
and that’s our (the voting public) fault!!!!
We need to carefully vet those who seek to serve all of these local offices. Encourage conservatives to run for these committees and commissions. We need fewer educators on the B of E, and more business people, farmers, house wives, factory workers, truck drivers, etc.
It’s not about Columbus or juneteenth. It’s about destroying the European/Christian/White foundations of this country and replacing them with something else.
The Grand Replacement.
They are seeking to destroy it all and will succeed if we let them.
None of this was ever really about ‘Confederates but about the West and what they deem ‘white’.
Now? They have been full leftard since the 70s.
If you think about it, celebrating “Indigenous Peoples Day” is anti-immigrant xenophobia. It is an act that holds out native people as being somehow more important than non-natives.
The essence of life is to change and to move. If there was something so special about where we first came from, then we should all be trying to crawl back into the womb.
There is nothing special about being indigenous. “I was here first” gives you no claim to any lands. The only valid ongoing claim to land ownership comes from two things:
1. Sufficient productive use of the land so that everyone around you can adequately benefit from you being there (this productive use gets certified domestically through taxes and globally through trade).
2. Individually and collectively having the ability to defend your claim.
The indigenous people who once occupied this land failed on both of these counts. That is not worthy of celebration.
Christopher Columbus helped begin the development of this land into what it is today - the breadbasket of the world. Whatever flaws he may have had, that development has bettered the lives of countless numbers of people throughout the globe. That is worthy of celebration.
American Indians were the last to give up their slaves.
What exactly are these people celebrating?
Julius Caesar was not an Italian, he was a Roman and there is a big difference.
People on the Right must start getting elected to these positions. Quit sitting on the side-line and make a difference. That is exactly how the Left did it.
Let us continue to shred the fabric of our culture until we are grouped into tribes. Divide and conquer. Let us continue to pit group against group. Perhaps if we could find a theme to unite, other than a fabricated or real crisis, we would grow out of this madness. Diversity, as used today, is designed to divide.
Well now we have Juneteenth and you can bet that in one
way or another Columbus day, and Columbus will be
flushed down the memory hole. Does it need to be said
that Critical Race Theory is already on that case?
Oh! Have they dynamited Plymouth Rock yet?
I think it was the 1800s before the Italian city states actually got together...
Nothing was said about 2020 the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower either...
Yes, 1870s, under Garibaldi.
New Mexico 1888
Anyone here from Randolph or know why they really did this? Randolph and the Board are Red. This actually takes away the sounding board from the Left.
Why not erect statues celebrating black individuals who have contributed instead of ripping down statues of whites?
Why not teach black history along side of white history instead of erasing our founding?
The answer is because it's not about 'adding' anything, it's all about erasing us and our history.
The situation is out-of-control because we have mindless idiots and cowards in positions of authority.
