House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has defended Mike Pence after the former Vice President was booed and called a 'traitor' at a Faith & Freedom Coalition event in Orlando Friday.
McCarthy appeared on Fox News on Friday evening and defended Pence after he was heckled by the crowd at the 'Road to Majority'-themed event.
'It is great to be back with so many patriots. Dedicated to faith and freedom and the road to the majority,' Pence had said.
As he began thanking Ralph Reed, the head of the Faith & Freedom coalition, he was met with boos and people loudly shouting 'traitor!'
But speaking to Fox's Brian Kilmeade, McCarthy said: 'Mike Pence is not a traitor'.

You are correct, he didn't have to certify them, which is why he didn't.
"Certification" by the President of the Senate is not part of the process. The sitting VP, other than as the presiding officer over the Special Joint Session where the votes are exhibited and enumerated, has no role other than to rule on properly formed (signed by one Senator and one Member of Congress) objections, which ruling has always in the past consisted of referring them to the floor, which Pence did, where the objections were defeated (overwhelmingly).

Nice try. That was NOT what was needed/requested/expected from Mike Pence, he was asked to NOT certify the electors from several states who requested additional time to review their election certifications.
Following that, there were challenges being raised by members of Congress AND the Senate.
The FBI and ANTIFA/BLM made sure that was disrupted with their false flag PSYOP.

Please stop posting this crap here. It is 100% false. Sen. Tom Cotton himself said that he would have voted in support of an objection to a state’s electoral votes if even a single person or governing body with the authority to act on behalf of that state submitted a formal objection to the Senate.
NOTHING WAS EVER SUBMITTED.
A half-dozen state representatives out of 100+ legislators in that state sending a letter to Congress doesn’t constitute a formal objection by any definition.
