If you were to ask anyone at random, what is the most dangerous threat to our country, he'd likely say China, Russia, or Iran, because those countries are, or soon will be, a military threat to our nation. Some might say a polluted environment is our greatest enemy, while others might say the increase in rioting and looting from coast to coast.
It's highly unlikely that many people will say the greatest threat comes from the drug cartels that destroy the lives of tens of thousands of Americans each year. Deaths from illicit drug use can be differentiated in several ways, including an indirect risk factor for premature death from disease or injury, deaths directly attributed to drug overdoses, and violent deaths caused by clashes among gang members involved in the distribution of the lethal substances.
We frequently read about the huge weekly death toll in major cities where drug gangs operate. The aforementioned are only those involving statistics on death caused by illegal drugs, it doesn't include the thousands of families that deal with the devastating albeit non-lethal effects of addiction. If you've ever seen a "former" addict trying to get the poison of hard drugs out of his system, you'll be afraid to take so much as a baby aspirin as a remedy for a mild headache.
Given the fact that we consistently lose so many American lives each year to the dreaded scourge of illicit drug sales, have you ever wondered why our military isn't used to crush the drug cartels that make hundreds of billions of dollars each year by poisoning our population? We spend billions defending our country from outside forces, while our citizens are being massacred from the inside by malignant enemies who traffic in drugs across our southern border.

I’m worried about cutting off fossil fuels...fuels that feed our military. What are they thinking??
It's "Unrestricted Warfare".
The greatest threat to America is the Democrat Party and the fools in the so called opposition party who will not fight it .
The war on drugs and the war on poverty have the same results. Both benefit the deep state democrat election chances and bank account.
Not possible. We were told that liberalizing drug laws would lead to utopia. Isn’t this utopia?
They are well paid to shut up and keep the border open.
If Americans did not do illegal drugs, there would be no illegal drug sales and the violence associated with illegal drug sales would cease.
I’d say our biggest threat is an election system that can be stolen.
The vulnerability of our electric and petroleum systems.
Bob Weir? Rhythm guitar player from the Grateful Dead?
The answer is pretty simple - unlike an invasion by foreign enemies, or a pandemic, taking drugs is a voluntary act. You can guarantee that you are not personally impacted by not taking drugs. For this reason, most people don’t care.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winna!
The deadliest threat to America is government period, the end.
You are correct. If anything happens to our electric grid and our petroleum energy supply, everything thing else will come to a standstill. Everything runs on energy and those are our energy sources. Without them we have no food, no clean water, no medicines or anything which has to go from one place to another. Millions will die and the rest will wish they were dead. How I long for the days before we were so dependent on computers.
What is the most dangerous threat to our country.
Democrat party note current problems.
Parents and grandparents miss their little drug addicts... as they should. But for the most part after a person’s addicted they take on the traits of a sociopath... stealing, lying and cheating to get their drugs.
Sad and horrible as reality can be there’s a whole lot of people who the rest of us can spend our ‘concern and love’ on than drug addicts. It’s probably why there’s so little concern for their deaths.
And yes, there’s plenty of 12 step problems and ‘help’... again - as there should be... but there’s a million more people worth our help and effort and love.
“have you ever wondered why our military isn’t used to crush the drug cartels”
The same military that’s still bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan 20 years later, chasing a bunch of camel herders with surplus Soviet equipment around?
Yes, let’s send them against well-funded cartels, who, if we manage to “crush”, will just be instantly replaced by one of their many competitors, since we would have done nothing to remove the massive profits that motivate them. Sure, let’s do that.
