Daily death projection through August. It's not over yet. It's gotten a lot better, and it will drop all summer.

So the good news is we should be down to about 110 deaths per day by August 12th. (scroll down) But the bad news is that the projection starts to rise again at that point with the coming of fall. Once we get over the true herd immunity threshold (somewhere about 65% to 70% which is coming within days) there shouldn't be the rise again. But the fact we are still seeing a rise in the long-term projection means we may not be quite there yet. Vax's are still running at 2 million a day, so this will likely continue for a bit, and we will likely hit the herd immunity threshold.

October/November was when it started spiking last year. Will be interesting to watch.

Plenty of time to start upgrading heating systems, pulling in outside air, adding UV filtration.

Sharing the air in a sealed system building is a recipe for superspreading.

My company has made investments into air filtration systems. Also pushing employees hard to take the jab. Looks like August return to the office. I know everyone on my team, myself included doesn’t want to go back.

Has anyone got estimate of how many people got Covid and recovered and never got counted because they never went to see a doctor?

My yard man had Covid back in the Fall, still has some problems with smell and taste alterations, though that is better. He never went to a doctor, believing that there wasn’t much outpatient help/medicine he could get, thanks to the big lie from the fake news media possibly due to Big Pharm not wanting to lose business for their expensive new meds in research, when a cheap, rare side effect med like hydrochloroquine and others could have kept a lot out of the hospital and shortened the suffering of others.

Is everybody still hysterical? We’ve had our vaccine shots, so why run around like a chicken with our head cut off?

I wouldn’t call HVAC upgrades “hysterical”

“Sick building syndrome” has been known for decades...first real example was “Legionaires’s Disease” spread through a poorly ventilated hotel/convention center.

As of right now, they aren’t making it mandatory. Quite possible they might push for that. Who knows.

If they do, then we have to talk about my employment status and my legal rights

True, and it’s not that this isn’t a good idea in general. It’s just the belief that we can’t get back to a more normal way of living without immediate huge investments that turns me off.

Oh if it were that. I work with adult whiney babies who complain about everything. I have 3 who play the race card and feel entitled and are lazy. I have 2 who have a work ethic like me and don’t like the lazy 3. And the lazy don’t like the 2 who work hard. I hate having to manage that and of course I can’t just fire anyone. At least at home they don’t have to see or hear each other.

This is great since now no one dies of the flu, car crashes, or anything else but covid.

Thatโ€™s too bad.

Can you look for another job, possibly?

One you donโ€™t dread going to?

Good luck with the pending return.
