During a portion of an interview with NBC aired on Thursday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” President Joe Biden responded to Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) speech on Wednesday and stated that while he doesn’t think the American people are racist, “after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity.”
Host Craig Melvin asked, “He said among other things, America isn’t racist. Is it?”
Biden responded, “No, I don’t think the American people are racist. But I think after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity.”
He also stated, “I think the overhang from all of the Jim Crow and before that slavery has had a cost and we have to deal with it.”

Joe is good at taking a complex topic and turning it into a non-sequitor and brain-fart.
They’re behind because of their own life-style choices. Actions, and behaviors have consequences. If people aren’t willing to pull up their boot straps, and help themselves, then no amount of assistance is going to get them to move forward. Way too many people, black, white, brown, etc., are lazy, and are willing to simply settle for status quo. They see no need to push, or challenge themselves to advance from where they are. They don’t want to be inconvenienced in order to make things better for themselves. They’ll take what they can get, but then bitch and moan claiming that society is against them.
So black people are inferior?

The so-called friends of blacks,I.e., the Democrat Party, race pimps like Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakhan, Maxine Waters, John Lewis, the NEA, the NAACP, the SPLC, BLM, the 1619 Project, etc., etc. have based their own power and riches on keeping blacks convinced the system is hopelessly rigged against them. They have stoked hopelessness and resentment by generations now so the only future many see are single parenthood, welfare, drugs and retribution.

His timeline is a bit off by like 350 years. Things started to really go downhill for blacks when government decided to hand out money for nothing with the “Great Society” debacle.
Hey Gropey, Asians have been coming to America for more than 100 hundred years and suffered some really awful discrimination. Yet Asians are not behind the eight ball economically, educationally, opportunity-wise. Hmmm, why is that?
I am waiting to hear the Democrat party and members like AOC cancel Biden for stating that the American people are not racist.
So what about all of the "Great Society" bullshit that was supposed to fix these problems? What about the trillions in welfare? ALL of the programs that were designed to fix these problems have failed!

There’s this thing called ‘personal responsibility’ which is of course scorned, hated and feared by Democrats. Resolutely rejecting personal responsibility is exactly what places many in the black community in poor situations.
In other words...get off your butt and work for what you want.
In Rochester NY, the High school graduation rate is about 45%. Pretty disgusting...and the teachers are some of the highest paid in the country.
Should I tell you the demographics of the students in this Dem stronghold?
How about we go back in history to when we had functional families and begin to teach their values again?

I drive a 4 year old car with 200K miles on it.
I can totally afford a Mercedes or BMW but, the cost is impractical for the amount of driving I do.
Between outside sales and driving to hike, snowboard or just go see friend all up and down the west coast I put on the miles.
Besides, I occasionally just rent an Explorer, BMW or Mercedes for a weekend.
I guess it’s too much to expect him to admit that Washington’s solution to the problem is to have Planned Parenthood end racism by eliminating black people.
