Fox News host Jeanine Pirro agreed with a Minnesota jury's guilty verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin and predicted the convictions would hold against an appeal.
Pirro, a former district attorney and an ally of former President Donald Trump who often praises law enforcement, said the decision to convict Chauvin of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd was "supported by the facts."
"I've tried many murder cases, and I've sat as a judge on murder cases. It is rare that you even get a picture of the victim in a murder case ... but here, we had a living, breathing person that the jury was able to relate to. ... This was an emotional as well as an intellectual decision," she said on Tuesday. "And when I say that, make no mistake: The facts are solid on this verdict. This verdict will be upheld on appeal."
Pirro applauded the convictions as proof that "the American justice system works."
"For all those people that want to burn down streets, just let the court do its job," she added.

Kind of sad to see someone you respect get taken in.
The mob has won.
Can a lawyer or expert explain how one person who killed one other person be charged and convicted for three counts of manslaughter?
“This verdict will be upheld on appeal.”
I agree.
So DC is guilty. What about the other cops....what happens to them? DC is guilty, then they are innocent, right?
floyd said “the cop killed me, myself and I”. Boom, three murder charges and convictions. America, what a place.
2 things: 1) He’s guilty. 2) The death of this guy was good for the gene pool. Leftists will acknowledge one but not the other. Pulling a gun on a pregnant woman is(was) a non-issue.
The mob has even overtaken a JUDGE. Bend over, grab your ankles, and kiss yourself goodbye.
Time to restock again.
‘What about the other cops?’
Think “A Few Good Men” The young marines were dishonorably discharged.
As was Mark Levin. Sad.
President Trump’s voice of reason is needed at this time.
All the Fox people have been told to genuflect. It’s what makes them such a rotten network.
Did she not watch the defense’s closing argument? The attorney showed 16+ minutes of Floyd violently resisting arrest—kicking, thrashing, yelling, refusing to be seated in the police car. Four cops couldn’t subdue him. They fought with him that long while he yelled and kicked them almost knocking one of them to the ground. Another cop supposedly had his camera knocked off his body and lost his badge in the struggle.
This guy was big with bulging muscles. The cops finally got him on the ground and subdued him there. His mouth was bleeding in the police car. They saw that and called for the EMTs immediately. The EMTs took forever to show up. Meantime, Chauvin had his knee on Floyd’s upper back to keep him pinned down so he couldn’t resist.
I think if I’d been on that jury I would have acquitted him of all charges. He was dealing with a guy who had consumed drugs, including amphetamines, which may have given him that violent strength he exhibited in the video. His behavior was weird, unpredictable. He refused to comply with police orders. What’s a cop to think?
“Kind of sad to see someone you respect get taken in.”
She has done quite a few weird things, including attacks on Trump that seemed ridiculous. I used to have a high regard for her, but decided she either had occasional brain farts or sometimes just put out content for clicks.
Levin only saw the eight minute video. He didn’t see what preceded that. If he had, he would have a different verdict.
Well, I enjoyed many of her broadcasts in the past, but now I have better things to do with my time.
Fox Lefty News bites .
This was a railroad job .
I have just shit-canned Judge Pirro.
Only a fool would aspire to be a cop in any city in the US.
