A black market in fake vaccination record cards is reaching epidemic proportions online.
Fraudsters have been hawking knock-offs of the three-by-four-inch cards on retail sites including eBay, Etsy and Shopify, as well as on the social media sites Facebook and TikTok, the New York Times reported this week.
The Post, meanwhile, has found dozens of online DIY guides for printing fake vaccination cards at home.
The counterfeiting has ballooned in recent weeks following news that an official vaccination card could soon become a central requirement to travel on airplanes and attend events.
And sellers and buyer are breaking federal law by falsifying vaccine documents and fraudulently reproducing the Center Centers for Disease Control and Prevention logo, which is featured on every card’s upper right hand corner.
In warning that counterfeiters risk prosecution, the Federal Bureau of Investigation advises, “if you did not receive the vaccine, do not buy fake vaccine cards, do not make your own vaccine cards, and do not fill-in blank vaccination record cards with false information.”

What an outrage! This just can’t be! Fake birth certificates, fake driver’s license, fake passports, fake college degrees, fake travelers checks and fake $100 dollar bills we can all live with but fake vaccine cards are unconscionable.
Next thing there will be fake presidents and fake women.
What is the statute violated by merely creating and possessing such a document? Please be specific.

The unauthorized use of an official government agency's seal (such as HHS or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) is a crime, and may be punishable under Title 18 United States Code, Section 1017, and other applicable laws.
This is a very predictable outcome when a government is over-reaching against the people regarding something that is not necessary at all.
We don’t show our vaccination records for any of the other deadly diseases. In fact I think many adults would be hard pressed to produce such records.
Second if a person is vaccinated, they have nothing to fear. If you are unvaccinated you made your choice and if you get severely ill, you will have treatment and lifesaving treatment at the expense of your health insurance company.
These shots are under EUA and not FDA approved. Therefore they cannot be ‘required’ for anything. Not work, not school, not travel, not events, etc. I think now might be a great time to start to consider filing class action lawsuits. Covering improper use of the shot EUA, privacy and our ability to be secure in our persons, to HIPPA violations.
If another country wants to verify your shot status ...you have little choice if you want to visit them, but to travel here in the United States the Federal government at the present time does not require it for living here.
It is time to start threatening to sue the pants off these companies.

I remember when registering my kids to school a lot of years ago I had to show the school their shot records. Also my dog has a vaccine record I must show anytime I want to board her or groom her. I’m against vaccine records but I think this is where they get this idea.

These vaccines have EUA, Emergency Use Authorization. They are not FDA approved.
