Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz hired a legal team to fight the "unfounded allegations" against him as the Justice Department investigates sex trafficking allegations involving underage girls.
"Matt has always been a fighter," a spokesperson for Gaetz said in a statement to Fox News Friday.
"A fighter for his constituents, a fighter for the country, and a fighter for the Constitution," the spokesperson continued. "He’s going to fight back against the unfounded allegations against him."
The spokesperson added that Gaetz’s legal team, led by Marc Mukasey and Isabelle Kishner, "will take the fight to those trying to smear his name with falsehoods."

I’m confused - sometimes he is accused of “sex trafficking,” which suggests participation in a scheme to bring young women into the country to participate in the sex “industry.” But then sometimes it just says that he’s accused of having a sexual relationship with a single 17 year-old, which is not “sex-trafficking” as I understand it.
Standard operating procedure now for the DOJ / FBI is to smear their political opponents and use the corrupt media to push the story. After all there is no consequence, even if they’re caught. Consider Clinesmith, the FBI lawyer, blatantly lied to the FISA court by criminally altering documents which proved Flynn was working *with* the CIA to make it look like Flynn was not working with them, but was instead being investigated. Clinesmith was fined $100. No jail. No disbarment.

Why not just ask the girl, was she interviewed or something, filed charges?
He’s toast. Should save his and everyone’s money, plus what’s left of his self-respect, and resign. While some of the sources of info about him may be suspect, I’ve read enough from multiple sources, plus his lawyerish replies to suspect much of the stories are correct or at least correct enough that he no longer warrants respect or support. He’s damaged goods at a minimum, useless for any cause. Besides, other than talk, he never accomplished anything whatsoever.

As I mentioned in a previous post, if he was guilty we would have seen him on CNN one morning at 04:30 with a battalion size force invading his home! Really I am surprised we did not see that already regardless! He’s numero uno on the deep state hit list since he couldn;t be extorted! We don’t know the whole story. It’s possible he was tipped off about the deep state hit and took preventive measures.
You’re either pushing the deep state narrative or very naive! He is the most effective conservative in Congress (IMO), that’s why they’re trying to set him up! I predict they;ll find kiddie porn on one of his computers before it’s all over!
