The first 2 seasons of “The Crown” were the very best. They should have kept Claire Foy as the Queen and let her age with make up. Claire was excellent.
They could have done the same with Vanessa Kirby who was very good as Princess Margaret. Helena Bonham Carter is usually great in roles, but for some reason I see Helena instead of Princess Margaret. With Vanessa, I saw Princess Margaret.
The producers made a huge mistake changing the cast.
He was born in Corfu, Greece. The building where he was born was then a royal palace, later confiscated by the Greek government. It now houses the archaeological museum. I’ve been there.

He was a very interesting person. Apparently he wasn’t Greek at all. And yes, his father turned out poorly. His name comes from his mother’s family, not his father’s.

I agree with you about the cast! I loved the 1st Phillip- the “older” version, not so much. He speaks like his jaw is wired together.
Both of the Margarets did a good job.
