First Lady Jill Biden was mocked and criticized on Wednesday afternoon after a botched attempt to speak Spanish. Video of her failed attempt to speak a foreign language then drew attention to a controversial-looking flag that was behind her.
Jill Biden made the remarks during an event speaking to farmworkers on the birthday of Cesar Chavez, a left-wing labor leader and activist who had a history of making bigoted remarks toward immigrants.
“It’s ‘Si se puede’ (Yes you/we can) not ‘Si se pwadueh,'” RGA Deputy Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez, who is fluent in Spanish, tweeted. “I can’t even imagine what word she was trying to say. Seriously why even try pandering if you’re going to butcher it and not practice before?!”

Children and old people are the worst!
Middle aged, educated people are your best bet, but they usually speak well English, unfortunately for learning German! TV news are the best foreign language lessons. Those anchors make lots of money, just to look nice and speak good language.
Politicians are usually good a language too, Biden being an exception.

I was traveling with my roommate in Mexico who was using a grant to do some research in zoology. He invited me to go with him as I was fluent in Spanish. At lunch one day he asked me to teach him how to pronounce Spanish so he could order his meal. We ran through the basics of how the vowels are pronounced and a few consonants that are different. There wasn't time to cover accents and syllable stress.
He does ok by ordering "una cerveza" to drink. Then he gets to the soup, where there are several choices. He wants potato soup so he orders "crema de papá". The waiter dropped to his knees he was laughing so hard. My bewildered buddy watches me and the waiter laughing with tears starting to roll down our cheeks.
Finally, I explain to him that "papa" means potato (or pope) in Spanish and that "papá" means father.

There are Spanish speaking people who have been in our country for forty plus years, who can’t speak English.
You are right.
Originally, it was call to for Hispanics to vote. (Democrat)
“Si se puede, se debe.”
Translated - if one can (vote), one have to (vote).
That actually made sense.
Shortcut Si, se puede per itself does really make that much sense anyway.
Nail on the head.
I know a little German. He's sitting over there...
Mark Twain had a friend who had a very hard time learning German. After two months, Twain reported, all he knew how to say was "Zwei Bier." But he had that down solid.
