That’s not what caused his death

The thing that triggered these riots was the MSM reporting of the Floyd demise and spiking the facts behind his condition at the time. Because of that getting those facts out are desperately needed

The democrat controlled media racist killing reporting was a deliberate miss portraying of the six foot seven inch 200 plus pound Floyd as an innocent black who was being forceably restrained because he was black not because he was resisting arrest. When He was legitimately arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 dollar bill he was resisting arrest and was a threat if not secured. But the media was not mentioning his size or reporting that Floyd was removed from a squad car because he was acting up under the influence of drugs and also later was discovered to have COVID 19. Which suggests his physical condition may have led to his death which the media turned into a murder change and a charge of serious abuse by police because of police efforts that were tried to get him who under control. If Obama had urged blacks to believe in the justice system and comply with the police would we be confronting his use of creating racial division now ?
The results of politically induced miss reporting incidents where blacks have resisted legitimate arrest began to be used earlier during and after the post Zimmmerman trial, then on to the Ferguson episode. Obama’s abuse of the “Bully Pulpit” which seemed to promote resistance to legitimate arrest led to black gangs attacking non blacks found innocently traversing black neighborhoods and to a score of murders or life changing injuries and later attacks of theft and vandalism on local businesses as well as attacks and murders of police officers during that period

The jury will answer the question. They don’t have to follow the procedure manual.

“I was just following the procedure manual” is not a defense to a murder charge. It might be a defense in an internal affairs investigation, but not in murder. Floyd was not a party to that manual.

I suspect the reason why the family got such a big settlement is that the policy manual was determined by the City attorneys to be flawed.

The jury is free to disregard the policy manual and they will. This case will be decided on the 9 minute video. I saw it for the first time today. It is a devastating piece of evidence. I don’t think Chauvin’s attorney is going to be able to whitewash that by playing it over and over and over like the Rodney King defense attorneys did to get those cops off.

The only way Chauvin gets off is if the defense attorney can point to that film and convince the jury that what they saw was a big nothingburger. .

That ain’t gonna happen.

If I were his attorney, I’d recommend he plead to the lowest charge.

FWIW I predicted that OJ would walk ( he did) and that the Rodney King defendants would be acquitted (They did. They were later charged in Federal court and convicted).

Does that witness have a professional or personal experience to define the term?

Where were the screaming objections?

Wow. The dreaded blood choke. Probably preceded by the Eye of Death and The Claw of Agony when he was frisked.

It's too late, the narrative is set in stone. Win-win.

You only saw the 9 minute tape today. Have you ever seen the video of the entire encounter with police?

You don’t convict someone of murder based on fragmentary evidence. Or you shouldn’t at least.

He very well may in fact go to jail. But only as a true indictment of the lack of legal standards and court room justice in America. Chauvin should have been held up as a hero. But we do not live in normal times.

[and the riots and looting will commence with a vengeance.]

As others have said, it’s going to be a long, hot summer.

No way the presstitutes are going to miss pimping more division and strife.

This show trial either ends with the murder conviction of a cop, or with riots that burn down what remains of Minneapolis, and results in the deaths of dozens more people, both innocent and guilty. Perhaps that will happen regardless of what the verdict is. Pathetic.

I would set him free, and hopefully onto the next Saint Floyd!

Did you watch the film. Did you watch the opening arguments. I was inclined to believe that a reasonable jury would acquit him before I saw the video. Now I would be hard pressed to believe any jury would acquit him.

Yeah Floyd was a loser and a scumbag. But there is no Reasonable doubt that the actions of Chauvin were contributory to his death. Maybe he would have died in the hospital, but he died on the street and Chauvin kept his knee on his neck for 3 minutes after he stopped complaining and resisting. It was awful. He’s going down.

This case will be decided on the 9 minute video.

If limited to that, yes. However there’s another 10 minutes before that that is also important.

The answer to that question will determine his fate.

His fate is already determined, the trial is just kabuki theater.

Don’t forget the five-finger death punch and FDR (Franklin Delano Romanowski) gave Kramer “the stink eye”.

If anyone like me is on the jury, the verdict is ‘not guilty’. Not because I necessarily think the cop is blameless, but because I actually don’t care when thugs get killed - no matter the cause.

Did you hear later that the defense showed that video to be slowed down. AKA manipulated.
