I think the Democrats were planning to do something to poison race relations in advance of the election. George Floyd’s death conveniently served their purposes. If he had died of an overdose at home, they would have seized on another incident involving someone else as long as a “person of color” could be portrayed as a victim of a white person.

I totally agree and I think that the jury will too. Chauvin will likely found guilty of the lesser charges and the riots and looting will commence with a vengeance.

The coroners report is just one piece of evidence. It does not contain “facts” that the jury must accept. The jury will determine the “facts”.
In this case I am pretty sure they will make a determination that the actions of Chauvin were a contributing factor in his death and that “following the procedure manual” is not going to justify the homicide.

The only question that matters is did he follow the stated procedures? Whether or not you agree with said procedures is immaterial.
The answer to that question will determine his fate.

I suppose Mr. William’s (aka “Deathwish”) past as an MMA fighter gives him street cred (maybe speaking from personal experience?), and the jury will ooh! and ahh! at his extensive knowledge of thuggery and its application...Which is all the prosecutor wants anyway...

Is it named after the choker or the person being choked? Which gang is the witness claiming George Floyd belonged to?
The jury can make all sorts of stupid decisions, but since he already had a fatal amount of drugs in his system and was already complaining that he couldn’t breath even before the “blood choke,” I would set him free, and hopefully onto the next Saint Floyd!
