I suspect the ones who were fired were those who admitted smoking marijuana just days before they started working on the transition team.
My guess is that there is more to the story. Possibilities: the fired staffers lied about their level of use. Or they lied about how recent their use may have been. Or they were using a lot of stuff other than pot as well. Or they were dealing. I suppose the list could be extended. The WH is trying to minimize the embarrassment and the damage to their future employability, but my guess is that more is involved.

I have a friend who graduated from Georgetown law school. This was many decades ago. He applied for a job at the Justice Department and went for an interview. One of the questions was “have you ever smoked marijuana” and he thought he would get bonus points for telling the truth. Interview ended right there.
Sounds like they all have grounds to sue for discrimination because it can’t be the marijuana use that’s getting them fired since Kamala Harris admitted to smoking it while it was illegal.
Since the grunts at Home Depot and chicken licken are subject to random drug tests, why is the president/Biden not subjected to this? Especially since he can’t put a sentence together and is now falling up stairs.
