As the U.S. Senate considers legislation that would revamp America’s election laws, voters still overwhelmingly support laws requiring that voters show identification before casting a ballot.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 75% of Likely U.S. Voters believe voters should be required to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote. Only 21% are opposed to such a requirement. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Thirty-six states have enacted some form of voter ID law, but those laws would be nullified if the Senate approves H.R. 1, which passed the House on a party-line vote. Critics say H.R. 1 “would force states to allow anyone to vote who simply signs a form saying that they are who they claim they are.”
Support for voter ID laws has actually increased since 2018, when 67% said voters should be required to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote.
Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Republicans support voter ID requirements, as do 60% of Democrats and 77% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on March 14-15, 2021 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
Democrats have claimed that voter ID laws discriminate against black voters and other minorities, but voters reject that claim by a nearly 2-to-1 margin. Sixty percent (60%) say laws requiring photo identification at the polls don’t discriminate, while 31% say

Requiring all voters to provide photo identification at their voting place in order to vote

So many countries have voter ID. I don't know how many times I've seen perplexed foreigners wondering why voter ID is controversial in the U.S. Taking issue with voter ID seems to be a phenomenon confined entirely to the American far-left and basically no one else in the entire world.
Democrats will cry voter id laws are racist, republicans won’t touch it.
The other 25% were white college educated liberals who ‘just know’ minorities don’t have IDs because they are too stupid to know where to get one, too poor to afford one, don’t have transportation, or don’t have internet access because they don’t know how to use computers.
I don’t support, because it only suppress our voters on our side. I support loose voting laws. We control more counties than democrats. My game plan (it is not democratic election, if you think so you lose) is “find” as many voters as possible and have them vote in shoe boxes like they have been doing in Chicago for many decades. Trust my math, we would control country federal/state/counties, until they come to table to negotiate new voting laws. Then we talk and take as much time as we want until we are satisfied
LOL! Tens of millions of Democrats are about to join the populist movement.
Add in with ID, to receive a ballot only allow paper ballots with fingerprint of the voter for any recount/audit purpose and more people might vote. No more computerized voting.
There’s a good reason even 3rd world countries run around with purple fingers on voting day.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren: “In a democracy, it’s majority rules”.
No of course she wasn’t talking about this. (Filibuster is racist screed.)
The Vote Fraud Party wants to make this a Soviet Union.
This is why Demon-crats want H.R. 1 to become law. They know the People are against, so they want to rig all future elections. These demonic bastards are playing with fire.
75% voted for Trump (legal votes)...
Unfortunately, that horse is dead...
No use beating it anymore...
