Cumulus Media and Westwood One have agreed to terms with conservative commentator Dan Bongino to host a daily three-hour show from 12-3pm eastern.
Bongino currently hosts a daily podcast for Westwood One that since March 2020 has been repurposed into a one-hour syndicated show on over 100 stations including 790 KABC Los Angeles and 560 KSFO San Francisco.
The new show would air live in the timeslot currently held by Limbaugh on many if not all Cumulus owned Conservative Talk and News Talk stations.
Bongino is a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent turned conservative pundit and investor in digital properties including Parler and Rumble. He has previously served as a fill-in host at WMAL Washington and WBAL Baltimore and multiple syndicated talkers including Sean Hannity.
An official announcement should be forthcoming by early next week.
While we liked Rush for polical news & views, he started out as a DJ. That is often forgotten - he was an entertainer & a political opinion maker. I like Bongino. No one can be Rush. I am reminded of Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien & Jimmy Fallon.

Agree. My go to show now is War Room with Stephen Bannon and Raheem Kassam. Informed, witty and fearless. Love it.

Don’t know. Sorry. But, the guy is a go gitter in my book. I really like him. Knows his stuff. Smart. Can really get POed and go after them. Lives up in Jersey or NY I think, his show comes from NY I think. He is from that part of the country.

Nope. I just don’t study these folks as some of you do. I have seen and heard the name in the past, I just don’t follow this stuff as much as I once did. I have moved on to other things in my life and don’t always let this crap get to me like it did in the late 90s and early 2000s. But, I will be sure to check with you next time so old silly dummy me won’t make any mistakes since you know everyone and everything. Yup, just hibernating here and off the grid.

If it was Steyn, I don't thinknI would listen. Something about his voice. The challenge is that no matter who steps into the time slot will always be judged against the standard that Rush set.
Dennis Miller, along with Mark Steyn, love to speak in clever and creative metaphor. I enjoy it, but not for 3 hours per day.
Dennis has one little issue, he's a bit of a name dropper (with names I do not know) so his audience is sometimes put off by references to the swells among the show people.
