Of course it is.

I think Progresso has some little bit of green in it, too - maybe some spinach stirred-in at the end. (I would add bay leaves during the long cooking, too.)

Just made an asparagus bacon soup this Sunday.

That’s OK...I don’t think Melville did either. The book just goes from one thing to another.

There is a chapter about chowdah.

There is a chapter about a big wine vat in Heidelberg.

There’s a chapter about Jonah.

There’s a chapter that is a sermon.

There’s a chapter about a whale’s you-know-what.

There is even a chapter on “Whiteness” which could make “woke” college professors very uncomfortable.

It is an extremely WEIRD book, but I love it.
