Officer Chauvin will be able to prove in court that his use of his knee on the side of the neck of Floyd was an approved technique that the Minneapolis Police Department trained him to use. There are two critical pieces of evidence for Officer Chauvin–the training manual for the Minneapolis Police Department Police Academy and unambiguous video evidence. Take a look at the training manual standard and procedure for using a neck restraint–it has been on the books for more than eight years. Don’t take my word for it, read it yourself:
You need answer only one question–Did George Floyd “exhibit active aggression?” The video record of the incident is conclusive. Yes, Floyd exhibited active aggression. He repeatedly and physically refused to cooperate. Here is the results of the toxicology screen from his from his autopsy:
A. Blood drug and novel psychoactive substances screens:
Fentanyl 11 ng/mL Norfentanyl 5.6 ng/mL 4-ANPP 0.65 ng/mL Methamphetamine 19 ng/mL 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 1.2 ng/mL;Delta-9 Carboxy THC 42 ng/mL; Delta-9 THC 2.9 ng/mL Cotinine positive Caffeine positive
With 11 nanograms per milliliter of Fentanyl in his blood, Floyd was a dead man walking or, in this case, laying on the ground.
The police, not George Floyd, are the victims. The vilification of the police over the George Floyd matter, not just in Minnesota, is an outrageous perversion of justice.
One final observation. It is not the job of street cops to change the training curriculum. That is the responsibility of the Police Chief and senior leadership. If they do not want officers to use a “neck restraint” then do not train them to use it. Very simple.

What will a Jury be able to know?
The jury does not want there homes burned down......it should be moved to another state
If they can’t establish cause of death, or if they find it was drugs, will they give back the job of the teacher fired for daring to say the outcome hadn’t been determined yet?
With either outcome there will be violent riots.
This is going to be interesting. Thanks to fake news practically everyone thinks he was “murdered” because he was a black man.
Why ask a jury? Just ask the twitter and the YouTube. They seem to know everything.
the Truth is not admissible in the US Courts,
generally run by Sullivan-Blackrobes
(now reportedly linked right up to CJ Robert’s wife
and from there to both Leonardi satellite ELECTION THEFT
and the instigations on, and before, 1/6).
The evidence says he killed himself with drugs.
Doesn’t matter. Any juror on that panel knows that if they show any doubt in the jury room or vote not guilty, the blacks on the jury will dox them and they will be auto-dead.
Everybody knows voting not guilty is suicide.
And the Supreme court gave that example by refusing to stop the steal with the Texas case because of riots that would follow.
i was able to show some people that the way Officer Chauvin was leaning on Floyd would not have caused him to die.
Most of Chauvin’s weight was on his right leg, on the ground, the left knee was mostly just resting. When Floyd started to get up, Chauvin would lean forward, putting some weight on left knee, keeping Floyd down.
The entire time Floyd was complaining of not being able to breathe. Just the fact of the repeated words showed he was able to breathe, he was under the effects of the Fentanyl.
Yes, the optics were bad, especially in that situation, but not murder nor manslaughter. But the jury will either be those politically desirous of finding Chauvin guilty or people too scared to find him NOT guilty.
Yup. The verdict is almost certainly going to be decided by racial make-up of the jury. Whites will be afraid to say George Floyd killed himself with drugs.
Floyd could have been killed by his pet hamster and still there’ll be riots after the verdict.
I’m still against him putting his knee on the back of his neck.
Or will they follow the John Roberts school of jurisprudence, “It is better that a few suffer rather than let a city burn.”
This whole thing is a horrendous lie.
So here is the problem... everything you said was correct, but what everyone saw with the video is a cop with disregard in his facial and body expressions. The officer was unengaged with what was happening to the citizen (Floyd).
Say whatever (generic) you want, but the video was damning in that regard.
“Yes, the optics were bad, especially in that situation, but not murder nor manslaughter.”
Agree.
