According to several conservative psychologists discussing the issue with me and a few others during the 1990s, queer psychologists flash mobbed an APA meeting to vote homosexuality as a disorder out of the DSM. If I remember correctly, they said it was during the late 1970s.

I said this years ago when Putin was being hailed by many as a devout Christian for some of the stands he has taken against homosexuality.

First, regarding the "Christian," foundations of his actions, I do not know Putin's, nor any other man's heart, nor would I pretend to. What is undeniable is that as a long time KGB officer who spent a career bent on destroying the west, he is no doubt aware of the corrosive effects of deviant behaviors on a society, as the agency he worked for spent decades subversively promoting those very same behaviors in the society they sought to destroy.

This actually brings to mind something from at least a decade ago. Russia had created a law that forbade the dissemination of homosexual propaganda to children. Here in the USA, the LGBTQP crowd was screaming "anti-gay" while deliberately leaving out specifics (So don't tell me they weren't after kids.).

So not too long after, Sochi, Russia, hosted the Olympics. The LGBTQP crowd demanded a boycott (no one did) and, barring that, protests. In fact, there was one homo athlete who had made public his intent to stage a protest. But I never heard of him going through with it. I would like to think a reasonable person pulled him aside and reminded him he was merely a guest of Russia and being an American doesn't mean you can do anything, anywhere. You visit another country, you're subject to their laws and penalties. So a stunt like what he was planning could result in him never being seen again.

Moral of the story here is even a broken clock is right twice a day.
