Last week, amid growing frustrations and public outcry during the winter storms in Texas, ERCOT removed the names of its board members from its website. It has since restored those names. Prior to being pulled down, the biographies listed Talbert as a former state utility regulator in Michigan. Records indicate she lives in Williamston, Michigan.
Crampton was listed as an economics professor at the University of Cologne in Germany and at the University of Maryland,

Mission accomplished.
Wonder if there’s a severance package.

Five members of the ERCOT board have resigned, lawsuits have been filed. ERCOT, power providers, Texas political leaders, the PUC and utility companies will have plenty of questions to answer.
Now is the time to roll back the ultra strict EPA standards and start up idled power plants. It’s time for common sense to take over. Americans died over Climate Change nonsense.
And well they should.
However, I read that a couple of days earlier, they had actually requested the Federal Government to let them get the traditional (gas or oil) power generating facilities online at 100% of capacity, since for various greenie motives they had been restricted to something like 80% or perhaps less. The Feds wouldn’t give them a waiver from some insane regulation to do this.
Anybody else see anything about this?
With the high salary they get, you’d think they be Texas residents at least on paper (no state income tax).

Bet on it.
There were posts on here from a former employee who said they short changed their systems vis a vis cold weather operation to save money. And things like pneumatic control systems and valves were freezing up.
Maybe they believed that “globull warming” was gonna make them ok with this, and for most of the last decade they pulled it off.
That’s a start.
Yes
I saw that
O’Biden nixed their request
Board members from a distance. Nice gig.
I’ve heard the same, but can’t remember where.
The governor should have told the EPA “Piss off. We’ll see you in court”.
“All five members who are resigning live out of state.”
Congressmen and congresswomen who don’t reside in their respective districts should do the same.
It didn’t seem much of a stretch to predict that heads would roll, and here we are. The “once in five hundred years” projection is now “once in one year” and yes, it does look as if the old saw that repair is more expensive than prevention is in full force.
Maxine Waters does not live in her congressional district..

A start, but not a solution.
Why would you allow 5 people living outside of your state to have this level of power and influence?
