Galaxy Quest is EXCELLENT. Great movie. I watch it every time it pops up on TV.
I miss Rush.

A favorite movie. I always watch when it comes on.

I’m reminded of this movie back when it was in the theaters,
I was on my way to the airport in another city over an hour away from me to pick up a friend flying in, I received a call that the flight had been delayed for three hours or more so I had a lot of time to kill, so went to lunch and then happened to see a movie theater across the street from the restaurant, went in and this was the movie about to start, that was the only deciding factor,
Fun movie, I wasn’t planning to go see it at all

Yup, good movie and such an obvious dig on Star Trek. I bet William Shatner laughed his butt off when he saw it.
Sam Rockwell who played Guy, is one hell of a character actor. He played the insane guy, killer of two little girls, in The Green Mile.

One of my all-time favorites. Devoted Trekkers might be horrified at how deftly they are parodied, but Tim Allen makes a better Shatner than Shatner. :)

One of my favorite movies and one DVD that I actually own. Have watched it numerous times, and it’s just so spot-on with it’s mocking of us ‘Trekkies.’
All ends well, just like an episode of Star Trek. :)
Tim Allen has made me laugh since Day One of Home Improvement; all of his movies are good.

Galaxy Quest is a classic. Great casting. Great story.
The cute little blue aliens scene.

FYI: Galaxy Quest is $6.99 on Amazon Prime and $9.99 on Apple TV.
Alan Rickman - God Bless, you went far too soon! While he was great in almost all his efforts, I particularly liked his lead in “Bottle Shock” but I am inclined to gentle, slice-of-life pictures that give the French a cocked snoot!

Galaxy Quest is great fun movie. I get it 100% even though I have not seen more than 5 minutes Star Trek in my life

I'd consider Galaxy Quest more of a salute to Star Trek than a parody. Comicons were JUST starting to become popular, and the original show was already a part of pop culture.
Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary is on Amazon.

I own the movie, and every so often I haul it out and watch
it again.
I like it.
Tim Alan does a good job, and I can’t imagine Kevin Kline in
that roll.

Kathy Shadily will be missed. She well understood the style and verve of Steyn online. I wonder if she was hired and then adapted her skill to it, or was hired because of it. Either way well done, and we will see her on the other side.
