Here’s what Ted Cruz is missing out on in Cancun.

The Texas senator’s family was happily soaking up the Mexican sun Friday — without him — after leaving the Lone Star State, where millions experienced power outages and record freezing temperatures during a deadly winter storm, exclusive photos show.

Cruz’s wife, Heidi, was seen on the sand wearing a red bikini under blue beach umbrellas, video and photos obtained by The Post show.

Cuomo actually acted worthy of criminal prosecution that we have tried to expose for month to deaf ears. Only a problem now that the far leftists see an opportunity to replace him with someone even further to the left, and she - the NY Attorney General- is the chief antagonist.

It would be different if Ted had gone after he issued a stay-at-home order. That’s what the Democrats are trying to equate this to.

God I love that song since I was a child. That song would play on the radio as we drove to see grandma in Berkeley back in the 60’s. (before California became a 3rd world country)

Many times it is harder to ‘rejoice with those who rejoice’ than it is to ‘weep with those who weep.’ I hope that all who could afford to got out of the cold and went to someplace warm. I also hope that those who were/are in the cold were able to get to a relative’s or friend’s house that was warm.
Propane and wood heat my house and I am blessed. Even with the option to turn on a kitchen stove if I need to.

- visit Warming stations statewide to encourage the folks there

- be a shadow driver behind a brine truck or motor grater like I was for two nights this week.

- fix chili or fajitas for the city and State employees performing winter weather operations.

As it is, NEITHER DEMOCRATS NOR REPUBLICANS did any of this for us.

You're right ... this is exactly what elected officials should have done during this crisis.

No on expects Ted Cruz or any other political figure to fix the problem. But the expectation that they care and care enough to come out and give moral support is not asking too much.

If the only time a political leader "mingles with masses" is to ask for their vote, he (or she) will have earned his defeat.

Ted Cruz is a U.S. senator - not the governor of Texas. He has no authority to, e.g., declare an emergency, send in the Nat'l Guard, order the distribution of blankets, etc.

Being irrelevant to a solution is no excuse. Providing moral support in ways large and small, seen and unseen is just the right thing to do. It also gives a political leader a chance to show his humanity.

But, go ahead. Keep saying Ted Cruz was right to head to a tropical paradise because he isn't needed. This certainly won't add salt to his political wound.

He just ruined any chance he had at reelection. Skateboard beto will benefit from teddy’s stupidity.
And he should lose the beard.

This isn’t the first time a person has had to make themselves look bad, because of their spouse’s actions. Reminds me of a really bad speech someone made during the 2016 RNC National Convention. A spouse who stands up for their spouse, despite the circumstances is a usually good spouse.

“He’s just another RINO. This should knock him out of 2024.”

He does vote conservative, but he is as out of touch with his base (and with the rest of Texans) as I’ve ever seen, be it with his ‘performance’ at the 2016 Convention, or this stunt.

He did have a lot of potential, and very possibly could have been our first hispanic president, but not with those instincts. At this point he needs an intervention, people he trusts and loves to tell him: “it’s over, you cannot win again in Texas...you’re simply not cut out for it”.

Ted should have stayed in Texas and climbed the wind generators to thaw them out with a torch.

MSM is going after Ted for the same reason it is still going after Trump. It perceives both of them as viable threats.
