Trump refuses to meet with Nikki Haley after 2024 hopeful criticized him

Ex-President Trump reportedly turned down onetime favorite Nikki Haley’s request for a meeting Wednesday, a couple of weeks after she criticized him over his role in the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol.
Haley, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, said she believes Trump, who was impeached following the Jan. 6 insurrection, “won’t be in the picture” for the 2024 race in an interview with Politico last week. The snub came as Haley apparently sought to mend fences with her ex-boss over the anti-Trump statement, which fell flat with the MAGA base of the Republican Party.
