Audience size has been an enduring fixation for now-former President Trump
Joe Biden's presidential inauguration proved more popular with viewers than Donald Trump's in 2017. Multiple outlets, including The New York Times and Variety, report that preliminary Nielsen ratings show close to 40 million people tuned in to watch Biden take the oath of office, as opposed to about 38.3 million for Trump— an audience increase of about 4 percent.
Ratings and crowd size have been an enduring fixation for now-former President Trump, who began his term in office insisting that he drew far more inaugural attendees than he did.
A White House spokesman likewise attacked the media soon after Trump was sworn in, claiming the size of his crowd was misrepresented. (It was not.)
In an inaugural address that blended hope and certainty — at the same place where, just two weeks previous, a mob of pro-Trump rioters invaded the U.S. Capitol in an attack that left five people dead in an attempt to stop the certification of his election victory over Trump — Biden declared, "This is America's day. This is democracy's day."
Trump did not attend the inauguration, as he confirmed in a tweet prior to the event. (Since the Capitol riots, the 45th president has been permanently suspended from Twitter.) Departing Vice President Mike Pence did attend, however.
While not naming Trump, during his speech Biden said to applause, "We must reject the culture in which facts themselves are manipulated and even manufactured" — an apparent reference to Trump's voluminous false and misleading claims over the course of his administration.
That habit reached its apotheosis two weeks ago: Trump's repeated lying that he won November's election encouraged the deadly rioting by a throng of his supporters who broke into the Capitol and wreaked havoc inside.

Libtard projection is overpowering in this steaming pile of “journalism”. Wow.
Should rename that rag ‘Person’ because that’s how many readers they have.
i tuned in hoping to see them all arrested.
by 12:10p it hadn’t happen so i just turned it off.
<><> Jill Biden's campaign rally for her husband in a liquor store parking lot drew six people.
<><> At Kamala Harris' "rally" in Las Vegas, nobody, showed up.
<><> And when the two Dem candidates made their first appearance, again, nobody, showed up.
<><> Biden couldnt draw a fly to his campaign stops.
Biden had to resort to faked pics of him alighting from his plane, waving to an empty field.
By contrast, hundreds of thousands of people came to Trump rallies. A sea of Trumpers in Butler, PA. right before the election.
Commie liar
Ha!
Even if this were true (and I’m skeptical that it is), don’t forget that, compared to 2017, a lot more people are at home watching TV in the middle of the day due to, you know, pandemic, layoffs, quarantines, work-from-home, distance-learning, yada yada yada.
It is amazing how they keep trying to shove these lies down our throats, WHY if he really won by more votes than any POTUS ever why would they NEED to keep insisting Biden is just SO POPULAR!!!
Biden Inaugural
Today this day I have not watched a video of Emperor Joe’s crowning...
I am not ‘drawn’ to anything to do with him...
And Trump STILL occupies their pages they couldn’t wait to get rid of him YET he STILL occupies space in their brains WHY??
Those circles tell a lot.
1) Liberals need to be told what 6-feet looks like.
2) Liberals will submit themselves to being put into a circle.
3) Liberal government has the time and money to have little circles placed everywhere to “help” people stay within their boundaries.
Point number 3 has a long history in the welfare programs. “We’ll have those n****** voting for us for the next 50 years!”
[Trying like hell to justify those 81 million faked votes.]
It’s such a ridiculous lie, too.
I saw the Democrats at Yahoo. They HATED Joe Biden. It was roughly 90%-95% against him in the Dem primary.
Maybe in the State of Delaware!
