In a January interview with Fortune magazine, retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Thomas Kolditz said supporters of President Donald Trump who thought the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol “was a good thing” need to be kicked out of the military.
“One of my bigger concerns is that there has long been a strong Trump following in the military,” Kolditz told Fortune. “People in the military have every right to be conservative or extremely conservative. But Trump’s supporters in the military who think that what happened [on Jan. 6] was a good thing need to be managed out of the military as soon as possible. That probably won’t happen until the Trump loyalists are out, but that needs to be done.”
Kolditz said rooting out “Trump loyalists” may entail pursuing thousands of service members and Department of Defense employees.
“We’re not talking about half a dozen people. We’re probably talking about thousands across the Department of Defense,” he said. “Many of them will have already run their mouth, put things on social media. But this was an insurgency, a crime against the state. And it’s a duty obligation of the defense leadership to make sure that there are no, essentially, sleeper cells, people in the military who, for whatever reason, think an insurgency is a good idea or justifiable.”

Has it ever come to mind that Politicians are not the military’s friends, they are the ones who send them off to foreign wars that are not our business. Well maybe they have a special interest, like they are invested in it some way. Some call it being a conspiracy theory, others may see it as being suspicious. This BG is a psychologist? Do they become experts on the Constitution? LOL, who asked for his opinion? Why is his opinion worth the time. I am sure there are other BGs who may have a different opinion of the situation. I would hope that the military still allowed an open mind in regard to politics. You may vote as you please, your allegiance is to the Constitution and the nation. No one cares who you support, choose the one you feel is the lesser of the 2 evils, and who would have your back.

I was discharged (honorably) in 2001. It was pretty political at that point. I was in during the “don’t ask, don’t tell” period and purging homosexuals was a pretty high priority. It seems like we’re still dealing with that.

Between the military and the ‘woke’ crowd who we’ve seen to be our teachers, lawyers, and even a few politicians to the neighbor down the street sporting the BLM monologue sign...we are in very real trouble. These military men & women will not be kicked out. Re-educated maybe, charged, and imprisoned or killed for ‘treason.’ Biden didn’t mention this crap as part of his “dark winter.”

Retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Thomas Kolditz is a psychologist professor at Yale, and previously had 35 years in the military.
He developed the Leadership institute at West Point, and there is no information as to whether he ever held any other civilian occupation.
He is currently self-employed as a public speaker, is on the public speakers circuit,and resides in Texas.
I believe the article is more about his catching the public eye and self promotion.
What kind of attitude and behavior would you expect from Yale professor ?
