DEFENSE SECRETARY LLYOD Austin on Wednesday ordered a military-wide "stand down" to address the kind of extremism within the ranks that was thrust into the public view on Jan. 6 when supporters of President Donald Trump – including some active-duty war veterans – forcefully stormed the U.S. Capitol.
The dearth of details about the stand-down highlights the apparent lack of understanding overall on the issue of extremism among military leaders. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby on Wednesday afternoon told reporters that commanders would have 60 days to schedule events for "needed discussions" about extremism.

Of course they are also going to weed-out and purge anti-white racism, and black, brown and Islamic supremacy, right??!

Assuming that 6 or 7 active duty were among those that entered the US capitol on January 6, that says absolutely nothing about the force at large. It’s a lot like having the force register 6 DUIs one night.
So?

If military had been caught with Antifa, it would have been no big deal.
Nidal Malik Hasan is a former American Army Major convicted of killing 13 people and injuring more than 30 others in the Fort Hood mass shooting on November 5, 2009
Adam al Sahli, a Syrian-born US citizen, attacked Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
The attack at Naval Air Station Pensacola in December 2019 preceded Sahli’s attack. Mohammad al Shamrani, a Saudi national participating in a US Navy flight training program, opened fire in a classroom building.

Haven’t we fought; and lost; this battle already?

The previous king of Thailand could have been Vice-President; since his mom and dad were in Massachusetts when he was born.

Commands will have 60 days to conduct Pentagon mandated training. I was in the military.
Such 'training' ticks you off and sticks in your craw!

People are constantly on edge and on guard. "The telescreen recieved and transmitted simultaneously. Any sound Winston made, above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by it; moreover, so long as he remained within the field of vision which the metal plaque commanded, he could be seen as well as heard.
There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live - did live, from habit that became instinct - in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.

So she’s an anchor baby. Haven’t we fought; and lost; this battle already? No, hence the fake birth certificate for Obama. They can fight over anchor babies for citizenship but a natural born citizen is born to two citizen parents. That's clearly been spelled out and even explicitly codified for children of foreign ambassadors born here.

Never let a crisis (real or imagined) go to waste. I was toward the end of my naval service in the early 90s when the Tailhook scandal triggered universal sexual harassment training.

I was in the military. Such 'training' ticks you off and sticks in your craw! Meh. Been through them all. Sexual harassment, fraternization, hate groups, suicide, human trafficking, etc, etc. For most people, it's a wasted day and they move on. It's more of a pain in the butt for those who have to organize, perform and document the training. What's going to tick some people off is hearing their leaders call out a group they identify with as extremists or conspiracy kooks.

So suicide in ranks got one day, “extremism” gets 60 days.
It's a 1 day stand down in the next 60 days.
But, I get your point.

Just to be clear, it’s not a 60 day stand down, it’s one day. Commands will have 60 days to conduct Pentagon mandated training. The 60 days allows them to work within their operational schedule.
Correct. Anyone who mindlessly believed it was 60 days has no idea how the military works.
Many 'conservative' news sources are reporting a 60 day stand down.

I didn’t think about it at first, but a 60 day shutdown.
It is not a 60 day shut down.
